Love the monitor size and picture quality, but the sound is TERRIBLE. We've been using this for 7 months and we have to turn off the volume and use a separate monitor set for the volume. It's pretty annoying for the price. Just about anything interferes with the picture quality too. I'd wait and buy the new one they're coming out with. Maybe it'll have less interference.

My wife and I are new parents to twin babies. Our nursery is in an upstairs room adjacent to our master bedroom. Since we put the babies down in the same crib mostly in the nursery, it's important for us to see whether or not they have spit up, lost their pacifiers, or are crying.

The audio and video monitoring with this system is fabulous and really eliminates the worrying for my wife so she can relax in another room in the house without constantly wondering if the babies are OK. Hearing a baby cry or make noises without the visual would be tough for her and with her being required to be resting after giving birth, this allows her to keep tabs on our two little ones without having to go up and down the stairs to manually check on them.

Being a "techy" kind of guy, I am completely satisfied with the video and audio quality of this device. The day/night modes on it work very well for our nursery and we can always see the picture clearly and make out whether or not their eyes are open (even in night mode). It picks up the smallest noises in the room, which is nice. Interference is very minimal in our house, so the video and audio quality work well with only an occasional static hiccup.

Great color, no static. Simply plug and play. Works great in our 2-story house that has all kinds of other things going on such as 900mhz phone, wired and wireless internet, etc. No problems with interference.

Me and my wife thought this would be a great thing to have for our second child. It was great for about five minutes. there is static and you hear a popping sound every two seconds. i love the fact i can see my child but if i was going to do this over again i would have definately bought something else. Wonderful concept, just should have made it a little bit better. Would not recommend this to anyone!

I have used this from the day my son was born and he is now 6 months and we had no problem. As a first time parent, I was so paranoid of leaving my newborn baby alone in his nursery room. With this next to my bedside, I feel like I am right there next to him. I notice some interference when the monitor was placed next to a TV but so far nothing major was noted. I like the night vision feature as I can see my son even when the baby room is dark.
This is a must if you live in a 2 story house. No need to go up and down the stairs I can see my baby clearly while playing in his crib even when Im in the laundry room or watching my TV show from a different room. Sound is very sensitive too. I can hear my son's breathing clearly. Plus you can adjust the volume and brightness of the screen at night when you have this monitor by your bedside without depleting the purpose of the monitor.
I would buy this again and again. It's well worth every penny.

My daughter is 19 months old and has a strong will, we have had sleep issues with her since I can remember. We finally broke down and bought the video monitor, it is suppose to be one the of best. You can see if their eyes are open at night, its awesome. A friend has a safety first video monitor and she can't tell if the eyes are open. You can also see them breathing. I have my camera about 4' up at the ceiling and about 2.5' away and you can also see them breathe. It is light weight and you can take the flat screen to another room if needed. There are also long cords to help. It has helped calm my stress because I can actually see what she is doing while she is crying. I would suggest that everyone have a video monitor even if it isn't this one. The money is worth the peace of mind.

When it works it does the job. HOWEVER, within months the monitor's on/off button stopped working. The company sent us the 1st replacemnt. The new one worked for another couple of months and the same problem occured. The company sent out the 2nd replacement (refused overnight svc. even though we would've been without use of the monitor for a week by the time the reg. mail would arrive). The 2nd "brand new" replacement DID NOT WORK. [...] The replacements REPLACEMENT (#3) arrived that day and it works, but for how long???!!!

I received this as a gift for the birth of my second child. It worked great at first then it slowly started to have poor quality and it would skip out making a loud noise everyo once in a while. I complained to Summer and they sent me a new one. The new one did the same thing. These are way to expensive and I would not tell anyone to get one.

This monitor really is good and worth every penny. We had a problem in the beginning with the nighttime led lights not working on one side. This was a problem because we have twins and we needed to see both cribs. I called summer and they had us send it back to them and they replaced it with a new one that works great. We don't get the static on it that everyone seems to complain about because we moved our cordless phone to the other side of the bedroom so the monitor wouldn't pick it up. The picture is better than if I was standing in the nursery trying to check on the kids
