This is a very powerful blender. After looking over several blenders to purchase, this one rate at the top. I can prepare everything from smoothies to crushing ice. The first time I used this food blender, I could hardly believe how easily it mixed my smoothie. It has 6 blades rather than the traditional 4 blades. The blade is removable and the jar is dishwasher safe.

I bought this blender based on the great review. When it was delivered i was so happy and couldn't wait to make a smoothie for myself and my daughter. I dumped some frozen fruit in and set it to low. The blender hardly blended anything. I took off the lid and stirred and put it on high and still the fruit was not blending. I took the lid off again and stirred the fruit around and added some milk thinking the milk would help the blender to blend. Nope. So, we took this item back to the store and we are still on the hunt for an affordable blender that can handle frozen fruit to make smoothies.

Lives up to its claims! Recommend to everyone. This was a replacement for another blender (more expensive) that only lasted 1 month. Used now for over a year!
