I just purchased this iron today, on clearance for 24.99, no less. It is worth every penny and more. It is the smoothest easiest iron I have ever used. It has a triangular stand to keep it from tipping over. It looks big but it is not heavy and very easy to use!

I'm not very good at cleaning my irons, so it might be my fault - this iron was great - good amount of steam, great temperature, not too heavy, and very reliable - up until about 2 months ago - I descaled with vinegar and did the self clean a couple times, but it's just not steaming anymore...
I will probably replace it with the exact same model, and will try to more regularly descale - it really is a good iron

I love this iron. I have had it for more than a year now and its still working great. All steam irons spit which is why I rarely use steam. I got it for the base as I have cats and they tend to knock my irons over. Haven't managed that with this one. The automatic shut off is great for me. The iron may not be able to be shut off at the dial but please how hard is it to pull the plug if the light bothers you. My sewing room and my bedroom is the same room but the light doesn't bother me if it did I would just pull the plug. I would buy another one in a NY minute if I had too.

T-fal makes a big deal about the automatic off feature on this iron. It does turn itself off if it is left to sit. But you can't TURN it off, or TURN it on. After ironing you have to just let it sit. Then there is an obnoxious blinking red light that flashes whenever it is plugged in. So you have to unplug it to turn it off. It was not cheap--wish we could return this poorly engineered iron.

The only good thing about this iron is the t-fal bottom plate. It irons wonderfully except for leaking water and spitting water as it steams. Very disappointing.
