We bought this to replace my husband's ancient entertainment center, since we got a new TV. I believe it's particle board, not wood... but even so, it's a very sturdy, heavy piece of furniture. It weighs about 100 lbs, if I remember Target's description correctly (it took 2 delivery guys to carry to the house). And my husband put it together himself pretty quickly, in less than 1 hour. If you have a power drill, it helps to make sure the screws are secure. All in all, we love the way it looks, and it holds our 46" LCD just fine (no wobbling or moving).

Damaged, but okay

it was easy to put together, and looks great once assembled... but the packaging does NOT have enough padding around the wood. It arrived scratched and chipped and the damage was on the front of the product. Some sharpie and wood polish helps, but... still doesn't change that it's damaged.

We got this and have been very happy with it. It went together easily, holds our 50" plasma very well and fits in with our modern furniture very well. The only negative I have is that the pulls on the doors are cheap plastic but for that price, it's not a big shock. It doesn't really bother us, but it might bother someone else, so I thought I would mention it.

I love it!!!
It is a great moderm piece for the price.
Very Sturdy.
Because it is mainly for the TV and a couple of entertainment pieces, I wish there were matching CD/DVD storage units with the same modern style.
