This lamp looks so rich. I had priced several when I was looking. I was dubious about this lamp being one of the least expensive, but it looks beautiful. I like the finish, it isn't shiny. It fits in with today's new antique brass color. The light is very bright, but just make adjustments in the shade and direct it to the perfect spot... not at all a problem. Height adjusts easily, shade turns easily. This has great style, too.

This lamp looks great. It is very solid. Though, you need to be careful in screwing the base onto the post as to not strip the threads. But if you go slow its no problem.

I set this lamp up, screwed in the full spectrum compact fluorescent bulb, turned it on and let out a defeated laugh. The light from this bulb, to me, looks horrible against the light from regular incandescent bulbs. Unless every bulb in you room is a compact fluorescent full spectrum bulb, I think you will find that you cannot tolerate the sharp, comparatively blue light this bulb puts out. I say sharp because there is no diffuser screen in front of the bulb, and since the shade is opaque the lamp is like a bright blue spotlight.

I was very happy to discover however, that normal incandescent light bulbs work fine in this lamp. Now, the thing is covered in warnings about using more than a 24W CF bulb. So I won't outright suggest it. But come on, its a lamp, its made of metal -- all my other lamps are indeed lamps, and also made of metal. I can't see this being dangerous at all.

you can use GE daylight bulbs.........same results as the daylight spectrum. And cheaper. My only problem with this lamp is the base came apart and they do not have replacements nor can a light repair shop fix it. Too bad as it was a very nice lamp and I enjoyed it for as long as I had it. For some reason the bolt was stripped that fits into the base. Everyone that looked at it told me they used cheap material to make it.

This is a great lamp, the lighting is excellent. The only problem is that I don't see where Target sells the replacement bulbs. I looked elsewhere and they are hard to find. So before purchasing, keep this in mind. You may have a lamp that you can't replace the bulb after it goes out. Come on Target, stock the bulbs. Don't sell a lamp that we can't buy bulbs to replace when needed. Hello!!!!!!

I got this for my husband and he uses it all of the time. The light is really bright and the adjust-ability makes it really versatile. I definitely recommend it if you need a good reading light.

I received this lamp in July and have used it practically every night. It still has the original bulb. Since I read that some people had problems with the bulb, I was careful when I installed it to only touch the bulb with a tissue because sometimes body oil can adversely affect light bulbs. I love this light so much I am considering getting a second one for another room. Reasons why:
1) excellent light to read by at night (best I've experienced)
2) very adjustable, so you can place it at the right height & angle
3) stylish design, but sturdily built at a very reasonable price.

I was so unhappy that I had to replace a bulb after just 3 months of use. Then, the replacement bulbs Target offers here don't even FIT the tensor lamp sold on your site. What are they thinking? So I have to send back the bulbs and go somewhere else to find a bulb that will fit.

This is a great lamp. My Grandson's computer is in his bedroom which is small with not much light in the corner. I got this lamp to shine on his computer. With the adjustable shade he can use it when he is on the computer or turn it so that he can shine it on his bed for reading. He loves it. The brightness of the light is amazing.

I just bought my Visionmax full-spectrum lighting lamp, and it is amazing! Very high quality, and the light emanating from the special bulb really does intensify all the colors in the room. It gives off a crisp, clean light and even in an otherwise dark room, the illuminated colors are true. I highly recommend this product to anyone, especially those who do a lot of desk work--full spectrum lighting is so much easier on the eyes.

I live in North Dakota and am disabled. It gets very dreary during the winter months up here. My mother is 82 and has 1st stages Alzheimers.Needless to say we are very subsceptible to weather related illness. I purchased this lamp in November of this year and use it daily. It has improved our moods and is great lighting for taking pictures. My eyes don't hurt after reading using this lighting. I am very pleased. The weight of this lamp is also surprising as the base is very heavy and no danger of turning over. You can't make a mistake at this price. Tensor is a great name for lighting.
