I received this lamp 2 years ago from my mother in law as a gift. I loved it so much I got another one and both are still in great condition and are very attractive. I suggest dusting the shade and base at least once a week because the shade especially picks up the dust.

I have the table lamp and 2 of the floor lamps. They look better than lamps I've seen for 3x as much money. They have 3 way dimming. Overall, I'm very pleased.

The lamps do not look bad; however, they are different than I imagined from the description and the online pictures. First, they are brown, not bronze; there is no mistaking the difference. They are not a metal body, and the texture is a weird scratch-like pattern on the body. At first I was disappointed and thought of returning them; however, they have since grown on me. They certainly are not a bad deal for the price, and they are a nice height for a mid-sized living room.

I purchased 2 of these lamps, based on others' reviews last month. So far, I am happy with them. I do notice one switch is tight and not easy to use/switch on and off. I am crossing my fingers and hoping it will not break as others have noted in the reviews. They are good for the price however and easy to assemble. They sit on my nightstands. I needed something similar to match the style and paid over twice as much for lamp [from an upscale retailer] for my dresser (of course, it is a better built and more stylish lamp than this one). Overall, I am fairly happy with the lamp, considering the price and quality.

I purchased 2 of these and the switch went bad on both of them. The first within the return policy time frame for Target.com, the other after that time frame. It has been a NIGHTMARE to get through to the manufacturer and is still not resolved. Be forwarned, the switch will go bad eventually..you will not be able to turn it on or off.

It looks better online. I bought it for my living room and thought it was more black than brown until I got it yesterday and I didn't see any "bronze" finish anywhere on it, just matte brown. Luckily, I have a bedroom with a lot of brown that I was able to hide it in instead of sending it back. Not really impressed with this lamp....

This lamp is a complete piece of ----. The switch failed after two months; better than the two weeks its precursor took. Dayton-Hudson ought to check the products it's buying from overseas. It may be a flat world, but without light; it's a dark world.

We used two of these on a Target Dolce table and they looked great. These lamps aren't huge and do better as accent lamps or in pairs. They give out great light and are perfect in a contemporary or eclectic setting. If you have a very simple room, they could add just the "punch" you need to spice things up a bit.

I wanted something simple for my end tables because I have alot going on with the furniture fabrics. These work great. Metal to match the glass and metal round tables (Pier Uno), but organic too, in the shape. I don't care for the shades though...a bit cheap and light for my decor, so a stop over at LNT fixed that. Over all I am very happy with these. If I happen to run into the table with the vacumn, and they go flying - no problem-o. Sturdy, yet light and airy looking on the tables - great effect because I can't handle the heaviness of many lamps you see in furniture stores....with their huge, bulky end tables to go with them. *ick*
