My fiance and I were looking for a cheap clock. Surprisingly enough, this was it. We had no idea of the list of fantastic features on this clock. Personally, I enjoy the day light savings, and date option (it tells you the date and that it's friday on the screen) I enjoy the color changing options, as well as the screen dimmer, and the fact that I can have the alarm set for Mon-Fri, or different times for different days. We're seriously sold on this item, and my fiance wants to purchase another for his side of the room. :-)
As for the comments about the difficulty setting the date, I didn't quite figure it out, until I read the directions-which were very easy to understand. Once I looked in the directions, all was well, and it was very easy.

i ordered this, aside from the obvious reason i needed an alarm clock...because it had really cool features, such as full week, work week and weekend only alarms, the radio/buzzer OR mp3 player wake up features...the changing LED which i've never seen before, apparently is non existant! The display's background is black and the numbers are amber and there are no switches/dials/options to change this. i went to [the company's website] and looked this model up and it says nowhere that the display changes. i'm very disappointed in Target.com for wrong info.

My husband bought this radio for me Christmas 2005. In January 2006 I had to send the radio back to company because the dvd player was not working and the clock was not working properly. They returned it to me at the beginning of March. The scary thing is that they sent me a new item and it still does not work!! the mp3 attachment kept cutting out and the dvd player will not play at all. I am not going to send it back(I will not pay shipping cost). I am just going to throw it away and never buy another timex clock!! I can't believe the trouble this clock radio caused me and now I have to get another one!

I don't know what all of these other people are talking about. I had absolutely no problem setting the time, date, etc. And I like the fact that there are 3 different dimmer settings. The time is not hard to read at all. I also love the fact that I can plug my iPod into it and the sound quality is pretty good. For this price, it's a pretty good deal. You should buy it. For anyone who can't figure out how to work this, you're a moron.

I bought one of these and it didn't work, so I exchanged it at the store. The 2nd one worked fine for a couple of months. After a while, everytime I tried to tune to a different (FM) station the static was HORRIBLE! Then while playing the radio the volume would go up and down all by itself (it was possessed). The place where I plug in my MP3 player and portable CD player stopped working, also. I could twist and turn the plug and it didn't work. I just finally got fed up (as did my coworkers who were subjected to the loud, annoying static) and threw it away. $20 wasted.

Too complicated to program for an alarm clock.
"Rainbow" light feature burned out after a few months. (Red is the best setting for people who can't sleep with a light on.)
Can't program 2 alarm settings -- one has to be radio.
Takes up too much space.
MP3 feature is nice, however.

I read the other reviews but knew that spending $60-100 on a radio like this was not going to happen. The sound definitely doesn't go up as loud as I would have hoped, but so far the sound quality seems pretty good. For the money, so far, I would say that it is definitely worth it, but if you have the money to spend I would say go for a more expensive product.

I had my previous alarm clock for several years, and decided that I needed a change... so I picked up this little number. The changing colors on the screen and options to plug in a CD/M3 player was a nice plus.
Once thing I've noticed lately... no matter when I reset it, the clock seems to start becoming about 15 minutes fast within a few weeks of putting it to the right time again.

The sound quality and styling of this clock radio are very nice, but the functionality makes me crazy. I use it as my bedroom alarm clock and as my shower radio (by turning up the volume -- not by taking it in the shower!). Normally, a radio alarm that turns off after one hour is an asset, but on this radio, there is no way to override the feature and so it often turns off while I am in the shower. I have tried turning off the radio alarm then turning the radio back on. I have tried turning off the alarm, setting the alarm time back then turning on the radio. All to no avail. I'm not a morning person, so I rely on my radio to keep me from zoning out in the shower, so I'm in the market for a new one!
