Dissapointing May 1, 2009 Reviewer:  Mike G "Mike G" (Cape Cod, MA, USA)  See all my reviews >

After reading some of the more favorable reviews I decided to purchase this gazebo. When it arrived, I opened it up to discover that it does not have four right angle corners, but one panel on each corner at a 45 degree angle to support the whole gazebo. I found the material to be very light and flimsy and easily bent. Additonally I noted that the inside of the rails and drilled holes were not painted or treated to try to avoid rusting out, which is a big problem with this type of unit in my part of the world. Target was very helpful in facilitating the return of this item, and had another gazebo, the Wellington, which had the same original price as this one and was on sale for the same price as this one. I found that one to be double the weight of this one and found it to be VERY strong and great care was taken in the manufacturing process to avoid rust and to ease the assembly process. I would recommend considering the Wellington gazebo over this one.

Fantastic Gazebo June 11, 2008 Reviewer:  Living Around the World "Tracy C" (New Delhi, India)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this gazebo four years ago when we were living in Toronto. We bolted it to the brick patio and it held up to fierce wind storms. We always took the top off every year and one top would last 2 years. I bought a new top when we headed to New Delhi India and it was on our roof not tied down when the monkeys came play. It did fall over but did not break. It was however slightly twisted and I sold it as we needed to reduce our shipping weight. The person we sold it to has been using it as a bedroom on their roof as it is very hot here. I am so glad it is still at Target.com as I am purchasing another one when I get back to Texas. I love this gazebo and have not had any problems with it. Pacific Casual got the new top to me quickly for only $45.

Going to purchase another one May 26, 2008 Reviewer:  teacher mom (Finger Lakes, NY)  See all my reviews >

This gazebo does have about a 3 year span, taking down the canvas every winter. But, I think that is pretty good on a hot deck. I'm going to purchase another one so that I don't have to take down the metal uprights. The only down side is that is is a big tough to put up but I have done it by myself for 3 summers.

great product! December 13, 2008 Reviewer:  patriot lady (houston area, USA)  See all my reviews >

I bought this gazebo 2 years ago and put it up myself with no help, using the tools provided. I bolted it to my deck using two metal strips, for each of the 4 sides.(I cut these about 6in. in length using a hack saw) When hurricane Rita came in we got about 60mph winds. I had taken off the canvas, and stood at the window and watched as it did not even move! Hurrican Ike put a large tree in my house, my Gazebo was fine. took the canvas off again, but this time I need to replace it. Called Pacific Casual at 805-445-8310, they were very helpful and have shipped a
replacement out today! at cost of 60.68. when I receive it will give an update. I am a 55 yr. old woman, this is not a two person job and easy to assembly. I LOVE this gazebo!!

We love it, BUT. . . July 31, 2008 Reviewer:  AxBeetle See all my reviews >

I got this gazebo as I bet most people did -- because it just looks better than the others on the market. I notice many reviewers talking about it being damaged when bolted down. The problem is that these gazebos are made of soft flexible metal/materials. If it is bolted securely or weighted down to a deck or patio IT WILL BEND OR BREAK IN EVEN MILD WINDS. When not in use, I leave the screens open so that wind can pass through. I also bolted it down to a concrete patio with long screws that stick out of the ground about two inches. This way when the wind blows the gazebo can lift two inches on each corner, which allows it to flex and resist damage. I waited a while before posting this until I was sure that this is the way to go. We had a major storm this week with huge falling tree limbs knocking out power lines just around the corner and the gazebo held up great! If you can secure it so that it has some give to it-it should hold up fine. If I get three years out of it, I'll be happy.

anchor it April 28, 2009 Reviewer:  Shar "Sharon" (windy NJ)  See all my reviews >

I anchored mine by using large, even cement planters in all 4 corners. I even bungeeded around the planter and to the metal frame. With plants or climbing vines in the planters...it looks great

Absolutely Wonderful March 2, 2009 Reviewer:  Happy in Florida "Donna" (Florida)  See all my reviews >

We bought this four years ago and absolutely love it. We live in Fl so it is up 24/7/365. After about two years, we ordered a replacement canopy and netting and are still using this terrific gazebo. I'm so thrilled it is still available. Neighborhood kids have bent two of the corner panels so, we're probably going to have to replace the entire thing. We bolted it down on our concrete patio and have never had a bit of trouble!!

Nearly 4 years and going strong! August 10, 2008 Reviewer:  Ga. Peach (Augusta, GA)  See all my reviews >

I bought this gazebo for the deck of our new home nearly four years ago. We had to have several trees removed from our back yard which left us with no shade from the blazing Georgia summer sun. We did have a little difficulty with assembly, but once it was in place it was truly a God send. As others have stated, it should be secured to the ground. My husband simply screwed one screw in each corner directly to the deck. I had also bought an iron tealight chandelier(also from Target)and hung it from the center of the roof, its weight also helped with stability . The directions also recommend you take it down annually; but we never have. This gazebo has survived many a storm, summer and winter (all be it a Georgia winter... it can get a bit chilly on occasion). Now it's faded and the mosquito netting has a couple small holes in them. But she's still standing just as pretty as you please. I'd recommend it to anyone.

What were they talking about? November 10, 2008 Reviewer:  R. Frits "father of six" Real Name (Bay Area California)  See all my reviews >

I bought this canopy based on the reviews of many that talked about how well built it was. I've now owned my canopy for just 4 months and it is ruined. The cheap metal it is made of got bent in several locations with the first sign of wind. Now I'm not talking a huge storm; I'm talking about a cool Fall breeze in California! This week we had a light mist that made it through our town and the canopy is compltely rusted! The metal broke in half in two places because of the rust. Altogether it is made with cheap contruction. The metal bends too easily. There are these flimsy bars that hold the fabric side walls together. The floral design in the middel of the post are actually made of plastic not metal. The side panels hardly hold up the canopy and to top it off, it is a pain to put together! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!
