an average workout February 8, 2007 Reviewer:  2007Bride See all my reviews >

It arrived promptly and was fairly easy to put together as most other people have said. I did it by myself and it took about 1/2 hour. As for the workout itself, if you've ever worked out before, and are not starting from scratch, this isn't the greatest workout because of the lack of resistance. I would call myself a high beginner/low intermediate exerciser, and I find that this is almost too easy. If you are a true beginner I could see this being a good workout. For me, I use it when I still want to exercise but am feeling a little lazy. It may not provide the best workout, but moving is moving and every step counts. As for the machine itself, it makes some noises when in use, but nothing out of the ordinary for any exercise machine. The only part that failed is the electronic timer/calorie/distance measure. It just stopped working after about 2 weeks. You get what you pay for. All in all, a decent machine for beginners.

Great when you start, but then the flaws come out July 26, 2006 Reviewer:  Rebecca S. ":)" (Burbank, CA, USA)  See all my reviews >

I had this machine for about a year and decided to get rid of it. In the beginning, it was GREAT! I loved the gliding sensation, and the ease of the workout. But I never lost any weight, or even inches, and I was using this 5 days a week for 45 minutes (or sometimes even longer). After a few months, it started to really aggravate my ankles and feet, which I never had problems with before (or since). I had to give up on the machine because it just kept making the ankle/foot pain worse every time I used it. Also, I became frustrated with the fact that there is no resistance. That's great in the beginning, but after a few months, it becomes impossible to get a real workout from this machine. So beware - you get what you pay for - this is a very inexpensive piece of exercise equipment.

great machine January 14, 2007 Reviewer:  happy mom (Raceland, LA United States)  See all my reviews >

I love my gazelle....got it for Christmas and I use it 5 days a week for 20 minutes and I have lost weight and have toned up my body including calves, thighs, arms and even my stomach. I was a walker before and never felt the results as I do with my gazelle. It is easy to store out the way and very easy to set up for my workout. I LOVE IT!!!

Nice January 11, 2007 Reviewer:  Blissful Bride "Hilary B." (St. Cloud, MN)  See all my reviews >

I got this machine about 2 years ago. For about 2 months I worked out on it 3-4 days a week for 1 hour usually, and watched tv to keep my mind off it. It's tricky to use at first because you feel like you could lose your balance at any moment. It almost feels like it's not a real work out, but I have to tell you I lost about 20 lbs in that 2 months. I stopped using it because of lack of motivation, but it is a good product. Heavy, durable, and it does fold up, but takes up as much room as 2 ironing boards side by side. Oh yeah, you have to wear shoes, because the foot pads really hurt! Maybe I'm the only person that would ever think to work out in socks, but you can't do it with this machine.

Gazelle-ing September 24, 2004 Reviewer:  kelly (Austin TX)  See all my reviews >

I am not into exercising at all but I am enjoying this product very much. The Gazelle is everything I had read about it and for a very modest investment I am starting to see results. Yes I did also notice some squeaking but it isn't that annoying (turn up the tv!)

Great little piece of equipment! January 30, 2007 Reviewer:  bateaux (South Carolina)  See all my reviews >

This was money well spent -- and fortunately not a lot of it. :) It is very low impact, which I see as a plus. I broke my ankle months ago and find high impact exercise difficult. This doesn't bother me at all -- actually, I think my ankle feels better now than it did before. It has started squeaking a little bit, but I haven't tried to oil it and it's not that bad.

I've had it for a few months and it did take a little while to adjust to it. Now that I have, I hop on while watching tv and get a nice workout instead of laying on the couch.

At first I didn't like that it didn't have built in resistance, but realized that making my own resistance provided a great workout. I can definitely see more definition in my arms.

I definitely recommend this, especially if you need something small and inexpensive. By the way, while the directions weren't the greatest, I managed to get this put together by myself.

Excellent Cardio workout March 7, 2006 Reviewer:  J. L. Kapalczynski Real Name (Ravensdale, WA USA)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this Gazelle because I used to walk everyday but living in the Seattle area the rain limits the days to be able to walk. I have been consistently working out for the last 3 1/2 yrs and I couldn't believe how good of a workout I got. I am usually on it for 1 or 1 1/2 hrs, I usually go about 5-7 miles each time. I could really feel it in the back of my legs, calves, upper back thighs and my inner thighs (the hard areas). On a regular walk I don't feel it in these areas. I put in a movie and away I go. I am really impressed, you get a good workout without getting winded. I would recommend this to anyone at any fitness level.

Great Buy November 2, 2005 Reviewer:  SCSef13 (Frederick, MD)  See all my reviews >

This is a great, low impact workout. I originally bought it because I have a thyroid problem which made me pack on the pounds, but left me too tired to exercise. I started out thinking small, promising myself that if I could do 5 minutes in the morning, 10 minutes watching tv at night, then it would be a good start. But, I would often spend 30+ minutes on the Gazelle because it was so easy and actually fun to do. I use it every day still and I love it. One great feature is that you get the workout that you put into it...if you are tired or sick you can go slow and get a low, low impact, or you can push yourself and break a sweat in 2 minutes flat. Yes, it did start to squeak (what exercise machine doesn't???), but a little Pam cooking spray and there is no more squeak. I highly recommend this machine to anyone. Its a great workout, at a great price.

Great for the price February 6, 2007 Reviewer:  Amanda (Minneapolis, MN, USA)  See all my reviews >

I ordered this about one week ago, it arrived ahead of schedule, which was wonderful. It took about a half hour to put together, a second person comes in handy. The machine is sturdy and glides quietly (able to watch TV while working out). It takes a few glides to get the hang of it and to balance but it's very easy to use. I noticed it the direction do state weight restrictions of 250lbs and the machine is not that wide. The directions also include a diet plan which was a nice bonus. Great equipment for the price.
