The sling shelves are not fabric but rather a heavy sort of plastic, I doubt it will last very long.

put together on Monday, all seams were unravelled by Wedn. Fabric very cheap and just pulls apart with the straight stitch. I only put 20 books in, 5 per layer. Very surprised that Target would handle such a poorly made item.

The material is nylon, kind of like parachute material. I would think it's more durable than fabric. My 2 year old has dozens of books in it where he can see enough of the front cover to know what he wants. Much better toddler book storage than a bookcase where he can only see the spine and I spend time picking up piles of books each day.

I really liked the book rack because it displayed the books and held alot, but the thin pocket material started ripping just 2 days after my son got it for Christmas. Now the books fall through onto the floor. Great concept and idea, just poor quality.

I purchased this for my 2 year old for Christmas. By March, one of the seams at the back completely ripped apart and the bookcase does not store adequately anymore. False economy!

I ordered this for my 3 year olds playroom. It is just his size!! He loves it and was really excited that he could remove and replace books so easily! It was really easy to put together (maybe 10 minutes) I was surprised by how many books fit in it!!!

The book rack pockets are a cheap nylon. The pockets were described, even on the box, as "rugged canvas". I am very disappointed in the low quality of this item and the misleading description.

I wasn't sure what to expect for the price, but it turned out to meet my expectations. They were a shelf that would hold a reasonable number of books that the kids could readily see and access and be easy for them to put away. My only gripe is that the canvas or whatever material is used to hold the books is pretty thin and will probably wear out with heavy use. However, I don't think it would be hard to replace it by buying some cheap, but thicker fabric at a hobby store. The book case isn't incredibly large either but it still holds a good number of books. It works well for the rectangular Dr. Seuse books. The pocket depth is about 6 inches meaning square books that are less than 6 inches in width and height do not stick out.

Prompt delivery. Good book rack organizer for my toddler. Every week, I put out a set of different books so he could choose the book he wants to look and "read". After reading, he returns book(s) in rack. Recommended.
