COOL PHONE

Reviewer:  Happy Sister  See all my reviews

I got this phone about a month ago and just LOVE it. But I got the camera phone which is the same but has a camera. I wish the battery life lasts more but I guess that I am OK with that because I am home almost every night. I would recommend this phone for anyone who wants a pay-as-you-go phone.

Great Phone Terrible service

Reviewer:  Bigcohiba  (Ca. USA)  See all my reviews

I bought this phone for my daughter my wife from HK so we have family there. I wanted to have a controlable phone for using to call overseas. Found out after I purchased that you canot text overseas even though the phone says can talk overseas. I had put time on this phone with double the minutes plan we tried calling HK but Screen said a restricted call so I called customer service 611 which should be free as other companies and its not. They deduct eveytime you call them I called them 3 times and they said they will fix it so we can call HK but never got fixed. I used up 35 units? Very poor customer service [...]..The other thing as my little girl used it to call her girl friend down the street and the minutes were deducted at twice other companies use up they steal your minutes we had over 100 units left and she was out of time in 30 minutes. The phone looks great and has real nice operations. But Tracphone is the "WORST SERVICE COMPANY"
Stay away save your money [...].
I went to prepaid go phone From At&T, a samsung for her we have all options great service with real time being deducted not like Trac phone should be called we will steal your money phone service!!

If it's a PHONE you want...

Real Name

If you pay a monthly bill of $30 or more for a cell phone and you use it infrequently, you really need to look into prepaid wireless, and the Motorola W370 through Tracfone is a terrific deal. It's neat-looking...my 13 year-old son was ooohing and aahhing when I brought it home, hoping it was for him. Uh uh. MINE! The only down side I've found is battery life, but I don't leave it turned on 24-7, only when I'm out, so I can go a week to ten days without a recharge. So far as service goes, well, Tracfone uses the same wireless network our old AT&T phones did, so the service is the same, and with the automatic double minutes and bonus codes (Google is your friend!) I ended up with my first year of service and 1020 minutes costing well under $100. I don't use this thing for texting--why bother?--or for surfing the net, so I go through maybe 70 minutes a month. Hmmm...$500 a year for contract service with AT&T or $100 for Tracfone...let me think it over...

Good purchase

Reviewer:  movieholic "Bevy C"  (Boston, MA)  See all my reviews

I've had this phone for a couple of months now, and have had no problems whatsoever. I did however, as a previous poster suggested, buy it with the double minutes offer. Well worth it. Thanks for the tip! I have found it to be easy to use and have had no problems with the tracfone service. Not yet, anyway. It really has more features than I believe I will ever need. But, I should also add that I only use this phone AS needed, ie: It's not glued to my ear the way some people use their phones. Only time will tell as to the life of this phone, but for now it is serving it's purpose quite well.

bad

Reviewer:  dhp off "Adon B."  (Plymouth WI)  See all my reviews

I have this same tracfone and from the start i have had nothing but problems. When I first got it they had to send me a new sim card because mine could not retain minutes for some reason. The next problem I had is that it wastes a lot of minutes just talking. I don't talk on it because it's to expensive for me. Another problem I have is that the battery wears out fairly quick if you are doing anything on it. And my final problem: My friend left me a voicemail message and I got it 2 days later. thats happened twice already. All in all, a good phone for texting, thats about it.

Does what it needs to, but . . .

Reviewer:  HankB  (Central Texas)  See all my reviews

I bought and activated this phone in the Austin, TX area. On-line activation worked fine, and gave me 20min of inital airtime. I added a 60-minute card, bringing me up to 140 min. (Hint: BE SURE you buy this phone with the "Free Double Minutes for Life" promotion!) I only wanted this for very basic phone service, and so far I've found it works in & around Austin, as well as in Chicago, Cincinnati, and Minneapolis. Good. On the other hand, if you expect more "bells and whistles" be warned: Tracfone has sneakily DISABLED connectivity through the mini-USB port to prevent you from doing things like loading your own (free!) ringtones and such.

Tracfone W370

Reviewer:  flexkeys  (Federal Way, WA)  See all my reviews

I use this phone very rarely so have no problems with having to charge it except every 6 weeks or so. It is very sturdy and well made. My only complaint is that on the Tracfone network it takes 95 seconds to connect so you can make a call. During an emergency this would be intolerably long.

sticky keypad

Reviewer:  endoftheweekman "eotw"  (sa, tx)  See all my reviews

this phone is great. it doesn't have the camera like the 375 does but i wasn't needing a camera phone.

i would recommend it to anyone, however, i would just be careful because i've had to return them twice and this is my 3rd one. the problem on mine was that some of the numbers like 2,5,8 and 6 would stick after pressing one and not pop back up- delayed for like a second. for some this may not be a problem. for others it may be mildly to very annoying. it doesn't affect the actual numbers dialed though. the #6 on the one i got today also sticks and i'm tired of returning them so i'm just living with it for now.
someone wasn't paying attention or was having a bad day at the plant on assembly day. i have other phones also so it's not crucial.
