Description

    The novel, The Train Stopped at Domodossola, is of international intrique set in Europe in the 1950's. American Dennis Evans is a youth bewildered by his sexual drives. In Paris the dollar is king of currencies. He risks making an illegal exchange of money for francs. A black marketeer, The Cat, exchanges his dollars for francs. The Cat dogs his tracks menacingly. He meets an American Marilyn Evan who lowers his inhibitions, and agrees to join him on his junket by air: to Athens, Beirut, Istanbul and Cairo. They check out the Soviet Union. The Cat reappears and becomes a real threat to both. Dennis tumbles to the fact that Marilyn is fighting addiction. He becomes ambivalent about marrying Marilyn during their action packed adventure. Jack Royce has written eight mystery novels. It is a pen name for an author who has had published twenty non-fiction books about the theatre arts. He has translated from the French, Russian and Italian classics. He has lived in Key West for the last fifteen years after traveling around the world five times.
