First, I have to say that I got this table in lightening speed - ordered it on a Thursday and it was delivered the next evening. The table took about a half hour or less to assemble (my sister did it for me as I am disabled) with all fastenings and tools included in the package. It is very sturdy. The top of the table is a textured, leather look vinyl, with a decorative white stitching about one inch in from the edge. I feel I got a good deal - quality table at 15% off and free shipping - you can't go wrong with that. Now all I need are some chairs to go with it!

Update: I've had the table for a couple of weeks now and just want to mention that you might want to consider using a tablecloth, placemats or covering the table top with a piece of glass or plexiglass to protect the vinyl. Although I have been babying it a bit, since it is new, I do think the top will scratch if you are not careful. Otherwise, I am still very happy with my purchase.
