Great Buy Even After 3 Years March 24, 2007 Reviewer:  Nanny Alyssa See all my reviews >

My parents bought this humidifier for me about 3 years ago because I kept getting sick while I was working as a preschool teacher. It has helped my sinuses immensely! Every night before I go to bed, I check the humidifier and fill it when needed, which is usually every 2 to 3 nights. I leave it on low most of the time, but I will change it to high if my sinuses are starting to act up. The humidifier is on all night and all day and makes such a big difference. On the rare occasion that I am too tired to fill it, I definitely regret it in the morning. Also, I have trouble sleeping without the light noise. It is so quiet you hardly notice it, but you miss it when it's gone. Even on high, it isn't that loud. It's pretty easy to clean, but after 3 years, the motor has stuff all over it. Because of that, I am in the market for a new humidifier, but I am considering getting a second one of these.

Great humidifier August 24, 2007 Reviewer:  Mommy of One Baby Boy (PA)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this humidifier almost 2 years ago and have not had any problems. I think most problems are due to user error and not due to the actual humidifier itself. I put it in my son's room most of the fall and winter and it helps if he has a cold/cough and/or dry skin. I buy the replacement filters at [another retailer] or target and they are only a few dollars. I am very conscientious about how often I change the filter as I don't want to risk having mold or mildew (I have never had that problem though). I alternate between two filters and change the filter every day (I let the other one dry out) and then replace it with the one in the humidifier. I buy new filters every 6-8 weeks or so. It has worked wonderfully and I highly recommend this to anyone. A+

allergies November 18, 2008 Reviewer:  allergy sufferer See all my reviews >

I am a pediatric RN and have seen a variety of humidifiers. THe humidifier tents we use in the hospital sound like a jet engine.
I bought this humidifier based on water capacity , settings, and duration. I love this unit. I initally turn it on high while I do the last minute chores and then turn it to low for the night. You never see the mist but I can feel it. Yes you need to fill using the tub faucet cause the water reservoir won't fit in the sink. So what. The unit is reasonably quiet and does provide the moisture I need . In fact I have three units for each of the bedrooms.

Great Product November 29, 2008 Reviewer:  Happy Customer (Las Vegas, Nevada)  See all my reviews >

My husband has a disorder that causes nose bleeds in dry climates. Since we got this unit, the occurrences have decreased dramatically. On the low setting, it doesn't have that loud motor noise like a traditional humidifier (On high, like anything else, expect some noise, but not much). The tank has a large capacity and can last throughout the night. The water reservoir should be dumped out after each use to avoid overflow leaking and filter decay. Like any other appliance, proper use and maintenance will make this product last. We have tried a lot of units and this is a great one at a fair price.

Jet engine November 9, 2008 Reviewer:  Mom 28 "Brandy" (Pittsburgh PA)  See all my reviews >

Our Pediatrician recommended we use a cool mist humidifier instead of the warm mist (which I have used without any issues since I was pregnant- my daughter is now 6). We choose this because it was the moderately priced unit. It did have a strange smell when we first started using it- eventually the smell does fade. However - On low - after running all night - it barely used any water. On high it sounds like a Jet Engine. But in order for it to put any moistier in the air you have to keep it on high. My warm mist humidifier would be empty by morning. Very unhappy- hopefully I can find something a little better.

Works ok, but Smells! October 25, 2008 Reviewer:  BrettsMommy "Jenifer H" (So Cal, USA)  See all my reviews >

Am returning after only 1 use. I cleaned it just as the instructions say, but it really smelled bad in the morning after I ran it during the night for my 13month old son. The noise level was ok. It got 2 stars because it worked ok for him. Kind of loud on Hi, but he slept through it ok. I am taking it back and trying out one of the Crane humidifiers...

worth the price August 24, 2008 Reviewer:  livinginKY (Lexington, KY USA)  See all my reviews >

We've been using these humidifiers for three years or more. We like the white noise as it cuts out the neighborhood sounds. I add extra water to the holding tank as it gets low, but our filters last more than a month, probably more. When the filter starts to discolor, which is normal, I turn it over. When that side discolors and starts to become too soft, I replace it after cleaning out the interior part with vinegar to kill any mold. This system has worked wonderfully for my family and is extremely low maintenance.

Very happy with this product March 5, 2008 Reviewer:  Kathleen O'leary "Kate O" Real Name (PA)  See all my reviews >

After buying two humidifiers that leaked we finally bought this one and it works great. It is very quiet, works well and the filters are available in the stores.

I'd like to give it NO STAR September 23, 2009 Reviewer:  Soon to be Mom of Two (Norfolk, VA)  See all my reviews >

This is a horrible humidifier that's leaked all over our carpet numerous times. We kept thinking we'd found a solution by dealing with the valve. Turns out there's a HOLE in the BOTTOM of the unit. WHAT???? A small, removable tray sits in the bottom with no seal so if it shifts at all or you need to move the unit, water POURS out of this hole all over everything. It's an attractive looking humidifier, but it's no use putting water in it. I want to toss it out the window! Have to go to the store and buy another one. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Good Product! May 2, 2009 Reviewer:  Mom In Real Life (Washington State)  See all my reviews >

We've had this for two years and run it 24 hours-a-day for about eight months during the year. The filters cost about [Price] but if you use the Kaz Humidifier Treatment (which is cheap) the filters last much longer. I would rather change a filter ever few months than have to thoroughly clean the humidifier every week anyway. It does need to be cleaned occasionally but is much lower maintenance than other humidifiers I've had.

It does make a lot of 'white' noise but I actually like that in my toddlers room.
