Makes beautiful waves, but is NOT a crimper.

REVIEW: LOOOVE IT!!! I have long hair and the waves made are just the perfect size, not too big or too small. It looks good on all types of hair textures. Depending on my mood, I'll use it on my straightened hair or on my already naturally wavy hair. If used on straightened hair, your hair will look almost like fingerwaves (very pretty btw). But if you already have wavy hair (with a little bit of frizz), this will definitely make you look like you have the PERFECT wavy hair (which we all know is hard to come by). I love this 3-barrel waver and I get compliments on my hair all the time whenever I wave my hair.
INSTRUCTIONS: This should not be used to make those ugly 80's crimps, but instead used to make REAL waves. The metal parts do get quite hot, so make sure you put on some heat protectant spray and wear some type of glove to protect your skin from direct contact with the metal before proceeding. Run a 1 inch strand of hair through the waver to distribute heat through it, hold the clamp open, weave your hair through the 2 prongs like a figure "8", clamp down for a few seconds, and then release the clamp.
(To learn how to correctly use this product, go to youtube and type "Babyliss Twisted-Porcelain Twin Barrel Tong" in the search bar.)
NOTE: Do not get discouraged from buying this product due to its low ratings. Most of the reviewers do NOT know how to use this product correctly. It's a great product and at this price, who could possibly pass on such a great deal?

I have used this for years and live by it...so to speak! My friends ask me to do their hair with it as well. Works great on all textures of hair if properly used... here is my tip for you all, to receive a long lasting, manicured look.
Course hair- Gel wrap first, when dry come out use iron in sections.. starting from tip of hair then move up towards scalp (that way u dont have ur tips just hanging in any direction cuz there was not enough hair left to put in a wave). when finished... Spritz for lasting hold... oil sheen when dry.
Medium to fine hair- (like me) mousse ur hair while wet and let in AIR DRY.. not blow dry.. if u know how to wrap ur hair.. thats even better! When dry comb out and start from tip with waving iron and work ur way up to scalp. when dry turn ur head down and spray... (DO NOT do a neck breaking flip.. adds to much volume)
WAH LAH...
good luck

First: it's very slow to heat up.
Second: after about 6 uses, the barrel cracked. I would expect it to last longer than that.
The wave it produced was adorable on my 6 year old daughter, but it was a bit too "crimpy, 80's" on me.
I'm going to try to exchange it for another one because my daughter loves how it makes her hair look. I probably won't ever us it on my own hair.

I bought this item a few years ago after seeing my friends hair that looked awsome! I used it and it was so pretty. The only thing is you have to use ALOT of hairspray! It took me about an hour to wave all my hair. I had to do my hair in sections. But well worth all the trouble.

I loved this when I had longer hair, all one length. Now I have shoulder length, layered hair and I do look like a poodle and if your hair has to be perfect, like I want mine to be, you'll take way too much time doing it. It's also a little difficult to get the hair in it at first and you can burn your scalp, if you go to close to your head. I will try some of the tips from the reviews and maybe it will work better.

This three barrell curling iron is so amazing! It gives body and some great, sassy curls to your hair. It doesn't take long to do, just make sure you have hair spray to keep it in and keep it looking sleek. To anyone who feels discouraged about this product, practice makes perfect. The more experienced you are with it, the better your hair looks!

I have read all the reveiws on the waver (good and Bad).I just ordered the waver, have not received it yet. I'm hoping that this may help those who are having trouble. The reason why I ordered this product is because I was watching the "E" channel. Before you start using the waver, put your hair in sections.Start with a comb and slice your hair from the top of one ear and go all the way around to the other ear, clip hair on the top of your head. Now start waving, hold the iron for three secounds, continue all the way around the bottom of you head. Then let down the top and do the same thing. Those with thicker hair may need to do it in three sections.

I love this waver/curler. The only thing is that i had to SCOUR the internet to figure out how to use it because the instructions were not very clear. The first time I used it my hair had the 80's crimped look also... But, I found a video on youtube that is for a twin barrel iron... so watch the video... The only difference between that iron and ours is that ours has an additional plate on the top. So, how I did it was wrap the hair between the two barrels and close the clamp down and let it set for a few seconds... The waves/curls look gorgeous!!!

I love this this product and soo do my friends the key to it is to take a shower kind of scrunch hair and dry. don't dry it strait! or use a diffuser then just go through it with different sections especially the very top. It takes a while if you have longer hair but I think it looks really good.

I was not so pleased with this waver. it does not get hot enough for my hair and it will fluff it. you have to use the waver when your hair is wet. because if you use it on dry hair you really will look like youve shocked yourself to death. if you decide to get it anyhow, be sure to get straightening syrum also. it helps a little. i was sad that this didnt work out for me.
