i owned the wildcard,and even though i like the full keyboard,it was very chunky.idropped it once adn the hinge cracked and now it flips open very easily.
the x-tc is way sleeker and seems like a high quality phone for a pay as you go service.
unlike with tracphone or net10,you can get really inexpensive service AND a great phone.every phone has it flaws but this one is alot nicer.the wildcard started at a big price when i originally bought it and it is now going for around a big price .when i would show my old phone to people they would say that it looked flimsy and toy-like,but the X-tc looks like it came from verizon or at&t,with a cheaper up front cost and a much cheaper monthly cost.im just really glad that virgin mobile allows people to have easy to manage phone bills and really nice phones.
i really sugest that people buy this phone rather than the wildcard if you're just lokking for a full keyboard.

I've been with VM for about a year and feel you can't beat the monthly price. Before this, I had the shuttle and while that phone was OK, I didn't like not having a QWERTY keyboard and I wanted a larger screen. So, when this one came out, I decided to try it. You'll read on some reviews that the keypad is tight / small. It is. But, I'm a female with average hands and I got used to it in about a day. It's really not a big deal and it's much better than trying to text on the shuttle. The picture quality to me is better than the shuttle and putting pictures to wallpapers looks better on this larger screen. I hated having to give up 3G with the shuttle, but honestly, web browsing on this one is not much slower at all. I don't really notice. My main functions for my phone are talking, texting, email and web. This one gets those jobs done. I like the voice commands and the size of the phone is good. My only complaint is when you talk to someone, they sound far away. There's sort of a hollow sound that I didn't notice on the shuttle. Other than that though, I like this phone. It's a better fit for me than the shuttle. And with 200 min top up that rolls over [..] web and [..] for 200 texts, I pretty much get by with about [..] per month for all I need. Works for me.

basicly i thought it was going to be a another wildcard but no.this phone is amazing what could i say!!!
its beatifullll in person super light weight and its super thin,the mp3 player is pretty good the sound is pretty loud,the camera is great!crystal clear pictures on a big screen!!huge upgrade to the wildcard,myspace is unbelievable on this phone i was shoked how good it looked all u have to do is download mini opera player!amazing and only 100bucks cant beat this price let me tell u amaizng!
also it has prety good games well "demos"call quality is pretty good and texting is realy good:)keybourd a lil small but not a big problem.AMAZING

This has go to be the phone from Virgin Mobile since the Switch_Back! Random reboots, poor speaker headpiece quality, more dropped calls with this phone in 2 days than 1 month on Verizon! It's nice to look at, but doesn't perform it's main function as a PHONE! =/ POOOOOOR QUALITY. Do your self a favor and buy a Virgin Mobile Shuttle instead, it's one less headache to deal with.

when i think of pay-as-you-go-phones i think weird nerdy and ugly phones but this one is very different of what i thought it would be. i was interested in buying the virgin mobile wildcard(flip style)but now i am happy this one replaced it.even though i havent bought it i think it might be a good and decent phone.

I really like this phone, I bought it for my son. I don't know about all these people having issues activating their phones. I went online and had it set up in about 5 minutes. The build quality is excellent, the phone feels good in your hands. By far the best Kyocera yet, the camera takes pretty good pictures and you can assign them to your contacts. The qwerty key board is good for text, emailing. It may be a little tight when it comes to dialing and in order to use the key pad you have to have the phone open. If you push the OK button it will display an on screen key pad that you can navigate through and dial. The media player is great and supports a micro sd card up to 8 gigs which replaced his ipod. People complain that you can't sync your music via a USB cable but I think it's a good idea of having to put your sd card in the computer. That way you can still use the phone with no cords attached to it. I just wished it had a video recorder and an external key pad for dialing, maybe even a touch screen. All in all I really like this phone and it just lost points for the lack of video and an external key pad. For those who don't like dealing with customer service, try the website. You can pretty much do 99% of whatever you need."

OMG i got this phone yesterday and i LOVE it...however the camera is pretty crappy but for a prepaid cell phone u cant expect much...its awesome for texting...

I WOULD REALLY RECOMMEND THIS PHONE FOR TEXTERS. iTS GREAT JUST THAT IM NOT MUCH OF A TEXTER. I WILL BE MOVING OUT OF THE COUNTRY SO I WILL NOT BE NEEDING THIS PHONE ANY MORE. IM SELLING IT ON FOR ABOUT 80 DOLLARS ITS BRAND NEW SO IF YOUR INTRESTED VISIT SOME WEBSITES AND SEARCH C CELL PHONE.

This is a great phone especially for the price, crystal clear screen, many features packed into a small inexpensive package
