After purchasing the Bebe Sounds Angelcare Movement Sensor/Sound Monitor and loving it, I thought another similar product by the same company would be just as great (a small set of monitors for traveling). While these units are indeed lightweight and compact, the "new" feature of Sound Activation did not work at all. When the baby is quiet, it is supposed to go into "hibernation" mode to eliminate any background static. Instead, a TON of static is loudly heard and amplified. After talking to customer service and troubleshooting the problem, they told me that sometimes this feature can pick up interference from cell phones, radios, and wireless internet---all things that exist in most households today. Anyway, the bottom is line is the 2-channels work fine as long as you don't use the Sound Activation option (which can be turned off). There is some overlap with the Angelcare Movement Sensor Monitors, so I wouldn't recommend owning and using them both in the same general vicinity.
