DO NOT WASH WITH SOAP AND WATER!!! October 30, 2006 Reviewer:  Battgirrl "D.M." (New York)  See all my reviews >

I have several of these tanks (not from Target) and have a Betta in each one. The instuctions for this one say that you should clean it with soap and water. Using soap will KILL your fish. Instead, rinse it thoroughly with HOT water and wipe clean with a paper towel.

Cool fish bowl July 4, 2007 Reviewer:  cryss (OH, USA)  See all my reviews >

This is perfect for tiny fish like neon tetras. It is an awesome fish bowl, and very unlike conventional ones. The size is ok for bettas but ideally, bettas should be kept in larger tanks/bowls as they originally live in rice fields (500sq. feet or larger per "box" in a rice paddy field), and not in small puddles as most people think. They may establish a small "territory" that they call "home", but they would be much happier in a larger tank. I have a betta which I put in a 10-gallon tank with a couple of neon tetras (they get along great) and the moment I put him in, Fluffy was happily swimming about, from one corner of the tank to the next, up and down and everywhere! A large tank for bettas is more humane for them.

Looks VERY cheap September 14, 2006 Reviewer:  Rad mom "sgp" See all my reviews >

I thought this looked like a great idea, but when I got it and opened it up it was very small and just made of cheap plastic. I was not impressed at all. I'm taking mine back.

Great tank... June 11, 2007 Reviewer:  S. R. Schoenrock "Heavenstinyangels" Real Name (South Bay, California, USA)  See all my reviews >

Just make sure you DO NOT use any soap to clean your tanks. Soap will KILL your fish.
I use this with a beta. You need frequent changes, but other than that....its swell.

Conversation Piece at my office November 2, 2006 Reviewer:  Happy Office Worker (NJ)  See all my reviews >

I purchased my Wall Mount Fishbowl through a catalog called "Solutions" and I don't think they sell it anymore, but I LOVE IT and so do all my co-workers. They all want one. It's perfect because we do not have room on our desks to put a fish tank so the wall is the best place for it. the fish we got to put in it is so sociable also. He makes our office the coolest one around!

Hideous and not appropriate to house a live animal December 2, 2008 Reviewer:  Ysteb See all my reviews >

While the idea is nice, this is not an appropriate environment in which to house fish. It does not meet the minimal basic requirements of life for the fish. Betta splendens is a tropical species, requiring a constant temperature of 78 degrees. Fish kept in unfiltered environments such as this are also subject to ammonia burn- very painful and debilitating to the fish, and ultimitely fatal. These fish need at least 5 gal to develop proper musculature and have any quality of life. Could the fish survive if the water were changed every day? Possibly. Would it thrive or have any quality of life? Absolutely not. Skip this and go for at least a 5 gal setup. Mine lives in a 50 gal community tank.

A different use August 22, 2007 Reviewer:  Jenn's Mom (Melbourne, FL)  See all my reviews >

Although this is advertised as a wall mount fish bowl, my daughter came up with a clever idea and uses it for sea shells and sand creating a 'beach' effect.

The size is fine. February 19, 2007 Reviewer:  Rangertig See all my reviews >

Don't worry about it being small. Betta fish are territorial fish and are uncomfortable in a large space so the size is fine for a betta. Just do some research about the fish species you plan to put in it.
