This table is super cute. It's small, so I don't think it would be comfortable for any more than 4 people. It's very dark wood with a rich finish, but still very modern looking. The dark walnut chairs with the crisscross back match it perfectly. It came with a small irritating chip on one of the corners...too small to return but big enough to annoy the hell out of me. Also, the plastic tool bag opened somewhere in transit and I was missing the allen wrench tool and a couple of screws (thankfully i had spares from [another item])...This is a "get what you pay for" type of deal with the added bonus of it being a great looking small table. It should take about 10 minutes to put the legs on and then you're set. I would have given it a 5 star had it not been damaged. Your should not expect to pass this table down to your children, but it can probably move with you to a few different apartments. UPDATE...I couldn't handle the small chip so I called target customer service and they sent out a replacement...sadly, the tool bag opened again and damaged the table. [...] I was assured that packaging would be addressed with the distributor, so hopefully it's now safe to order.

Table had a scratch as well as an imprint from the box on all four corners of the top side of the table. Tried everything to get it off. Table is also very dark for being walnut. It is more like espresso. Therefore it didn't match the chairs that I ordered in Walnut.

Gorgeous table. Sturdy, easy to assemble, and I love the clean lines to it. A couple things you should note, however...

1) It's not black like in the picture. It's a very, very dark brown. Beautiful color, but I thought it was black (until I read another review), and almost bought black chairs. Note that it will not match with black chairs!

2) It's really, really, really susceptible to scrapes and scratches. As in, a chair brushed up against the edge of the table and there's already some wear on the table. This really needs to be stressed. I was reading reviews for a coffee table where people complained of the same problem, warning to make sure guests don't put their feet up on it.. I thought that was absurd, the idea that just resting their feet on it could damage it.. but now that I have this table, I can see what they mean! You should either be very careful around this table, or just pony up and buy something of higher quality.

It's a gorgeous table, but it's a "Look, but don't touch" kind of deal.

That said, I am otherwise pretty happy with this table and despite its very huge flaw I don't plan to return it. I'm a university student, which makes the scrapes and scratches acceptable to my peers, and I only plan to have the table for a year or so. If you are older and looking for something that will last long and that will impress your weekly dinner guests, this is not the table for you. If you are looking for something temporary, however, this is a great choice and even with a few scratches it is still beautiful enough to draw compliments. :)

Pretty small, so it is very good for small space. The other problem is the packaging is not very good. I got damaged table twice.

just FYI, this table is NOT black, it's dark brown. it looks black in the picture and they don't tell you otherwise on the website, but when it arrives, the box says "color: cappuccino" and the finish is definitely brown.

Was looking for a small table to use as a computer work station. Read the other reviews and thought I'd take a chance on this one. It arrived in perfect condition and I assembled it in about 10 minutes. I absolutely love it! It was a great value and I would highly recommend it.

I received my table today after a month-long wait (it was out of stock). It has a sleek look, was easy to put together, and fit perfectly in my space and with my chairs and other furniture. There were no damages during delivery, which I had been worried after reading other reviews. I got free shipping with a coupon and an additional 15% off, making this table [a great price]; I can't say I would have paid much more than this, but it was the perfect solution to my needs. And make no mistake, this table is DARK BROWN, and will not go with black chairs (not even the [...] black/brown type).

I purchased this table for our first one bedroom apartment. It came in two days without any damages! The size was a perfect fit. It's a year and a half old, it's light and easily scratched. I paired it with the slat back chair set and received many compliments. But now, I'm yearning for a real dining table. It has a great, clean look. I would only recommend it if you're just looking for a temporary piece. I will continue to use it as an office desk but maybe cover it with a desk calender.

I love my new table! Very satisfied with the quality. Easy to put together. I think it only took me 30-40 minutes. The only problem was delivery. The table came badly damaged so I had to call for a replacement. This wasn't a surprise given the other reviews. They did a very poor packing job so there were huge gashes in the table top and parts missing. Target sent out a replacement table immediately. I could tell the difference just looking at the second box. The packing was much improved and the table was in perfect condition. Be aware the box is over 100 lbs when it arrives.

Everything about this table is beautiful. It is sturdy and very dark-almost black in color. It will go perfect with rattan chairs I'm getting (similar to Andes chairs). It is very easy to put the leaves in; although I wish they stored underneath. We will be taking this table with us to our new home for sure. I'm sure I will get 8 people around the table with both leaves. I think 10 would be a tight fit but possible. This is the second piece of Target furniture I've bought and assembled. It won't be my last!
