I USED THIS GRILL OVER MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY AND I MUST SAY THE GRILL IS GREAT. THIS GRILL HAS NO MESS LIKE MOST OTHER GRILLS TO CLEAN UP AFTERWARDS. I GRILLED RIBS, CHICKEN, ETC. AND I TELL YOU THE FOOD WAS AWESOME. I LOVE THIS GRILL; IT COOKS YOUR FOOD SLOW, MED, OR FAST HOWEVER YOU LIKE IT; THERE'S A CONTROL UNDERNEALTH FOR CONTROL. IT'S A MUST HAVE GRILL. CARMEN.

I love it. The lifeless poultry flesh is always crispy and doesn't stick. I also like that my ground cattle carcass doesn't mold around the grill like the bone it was cut from. You can also grill a whole dead fish! With the head still on! It's a huge grill! I give it 10 STARS!!!
I also hear it grills a great veggie burger.

We love this grill! Our veggie burgers do not stick to the grate and our foil cabbage and potato packages cook much faster than on our last grill. We even put our corn on the cob on the top grate and it cooked beautiful. This grill gets extremely hot and has plenty of room for everything. When we've had people over it stays hot for long enough to cook all the food in shifts. It is also super easy to clean!

I agree that this is a great grill. Out of the box, it is fairly simple to set up. It has more than enough room for a party full of steaks or chicken but it doesn't have a large "footprint" so it doesn't take up the entire outdoor living space. Just add charcoal and start grilling-that easy. The ashes collect in the pan that hooks to the bottom so clean up is a snap. Another item I would recommend to buy with this is the Weber brand chimney starter. It makes lighting coals without lighter fluid so simple and fast. This grill is easy to clean and store as well. Mine came with a cover so I can roll it into the garage to store after it has cooled down and been cleaned. If, forbid, something ever happened to my grill-I would replace it with another one of these.

I agree with another reviewer that this is a ladies grill. This grill took me 5 minutes to put together by myself and it's made very sturdy and very well. The clean up is easy and takes one minute without a mess. If you still enjoy using charcoal instead of a gas grill then only buy the weber. I did alot of checking around before I decided on this particular model. Most that I checked out were very flimsy with a terrible finish and just not easy to move around. I'm waiting for the weber table that goes with this and I'm sure the quality will be just as good. You can also adjust the heat needed with one touch of a button on the bottom and also the top has a vent. You can also buy the cover for this model through target. Great product.

I was kind of skeptical when my husband asked for this type of grill, but to be honest, it's great! We ordered on line, received it promptly, put together within 10 minutes and it looks wonderful! It sits low, but is wide and comfortable to grill on. Food tastes delicious, its easy to clean and to move around in our patio. The grill is not heavy. We are very happy with it!

The Weber 22.5 was designed with heavy-duty grilling in mind, but for a small job, such as a package of hot dogs, it is way more grilling power than you need and a waste of charcoal as you mentioned. I would suggest using a gas grill instead for hot dogs, where you can control the number of burners, or perhaps even a smaller capacity charcoal grill that isn't as deep, but Weber also carries a mini version of their 22.5 designed for tailgating that would be perfect for small jobs, such as hot dogs, or even a couple of hamburgers or steaks, but the bigger Webers are better suited for big BBQs where you are cooking lots of food, or if you are grilling something indirectly, such as pork ribs or a beef brisket, that requires hours of indirect grilling or smoking. Speaking of indirect grilling, the best way that I know to do so on the Weber is to pile all of the charcoal to one side of the grill, and then place your food on the opposite side under the open space. Also, I've seen a friend of mine place a split, hickory log down the middle of the grill to act as a divider between the charcoal and the open space, and since it's a log and not chips, it burns relatively slowly and adds a lot of smoke flavoring at the same time. Lastly, you are correct that this Weber grill does not have side shelves, but that is by design, and by not having them, it also gives this particular grill a much smaller foot print for storage, such as in your garage as a second grill, and it also makes the grill much less likely to tip over on a very windy day, but Weber also carries an upgraded version of the 22.5 that actually does have side shelves, so as a corporation, they are very accommodating with their product line.

I purchased this grill for my husband for Father's Day. Even though we had a gas grill he missed the charcoal flavor. The grill arrived much sooner than expected which was great!!! It arrived just in time for Father's Day! My husband loves the grill and I must say the food does have a great flavor!

I have had so many grills over the years-and basically use the grills as both a grill and an oven with indirect heat. I used to love to grill and did it at least 3 days per week. My last grill finally rusted out on the bottom, and for my birthday, my husband got me a Weber. I am so disappointed! First of all-no workspace-what is up with that!? How can you grill without a table or something?
And it takes much more coal to heat up the Weber than any other grill I have ever had. If you want to cook a hot dog, you need a whole bag of charcoal. It is too low, it doesn't heat up as well as other grills I have had, I hate this thing, and I am stuck with it.
