Warning- It came MISSING PIECES, and it is deceptively advertised- Its not solid wood but cheap, particle board. Even the back wall area of the hutch unit is a paper-thin, 1/8 inch piece of folded cardboard. NOT HAPPY. ***And I know I'm short at 5 foot- but I feel as though I dwarf the unit in comparison... Make sure to measure twice before you buy.*** The only saving grace is that the company Target is advertising for is curtious and efficient. ***Also- its not problematic for me- but the picture is reversed, the drawers are on the opposite side.

I bought this about a month ago when it was on sale (great price). I love it. I just painted my kitchen over and put new tiles on the floor so i needed to get rid of my old (4 years) space saver to go with my new kitchen. My husband put it together in about 1 to 2 hours and all the parts and pieces was in the box. I don't know how other customers found that to be a problem. If you are looking for more space in your kitchen and on a budget then you should buy this piece from Target.

My husband and I put together this hutch and buffet set today and it took ALL day to put it together.

Pros:
*Seems sturdy.
*Plenty of space for our dishes.
*Looks decent.
*Has a country style to it.

Cons:
*Directions are not very clear.
*The front cabinet doors do not fit together perfectly.
*Drawers are on plastic runners.
*The backing for the hutch has white on one side, and dark brown on the other. The backing is made to fold like an accordian to fit into the box, however this leaves nasty marks where the boards bend. We put the dark brown side facing outward because the white looked very tacky.

Tips:
*Be sure to assemble the hutch first, then the buffet. Otherwise it won't fit together properly.
*Very heavy and difficult to assemble on your own.

Is this the same Hutch & Buffet that has gotten all the great reviews? Yes it is! Maybe I'm too picky, but I was so disappointed with this item. It arrived well packed, but when we opened it we were dismayed to find that the whole unit was made of vinyl covered press-wood, including the "butcher block" top on the buffet. The little cup pegs are plastic too. After assembly it was even more disappointing! It looks really cheap & is a low quality product, not worth the price, even with the free shipping & 15% off. Target advertises it as made of wood, so that was very misleading too! On the boxes it says this is made in the USA, so here is another reason to have expected something better! This is absolutely the the worst quality assemble-it-yourself furniture we have ever bought, & we have gotten a lot! The manufacture for this item is Creative Interiors, a division of Thomasville; yet another reason we expected a better quality product! We will think about it for a couple days but we will probably take this thing back apart, box it up & make the long drive to return it to a Target store. I've now learned a valuable lesson that Target considers press-wood to be a wood product, so Buyer Beware!!!

Addition: We packed this item back up & drove it the 66 miles to the closest Target. Customer Service was quick with the return & helpful. I asked if they ship returns like that back to the manufacture. They said it was not worth it & that they just destroy the item. I guess that just about says it all for this piece of junk.

The buffet is missing so many parts. It was missing bottoms to the drawer and one of the drawer doors. Some of the hardware to slide the drawers in and out, there was so much misssing it was unbelievable and very disapointing. I would have given it less stars but since the hutch is perfect I gave it 3.

I like this buffet and hutch, problem is it did not come with the bottoms to the drawers. I ordered a table and the hardware was also missing from that. I don't know what's going on, but it's become so,that I expect everything to go wrong whenever I order from Target. Don't get me wrong, I luv Target, they just need to settle these problems with there venders.

I was very pleased with the quality of the materials used in the construction of this Buffet. The assemley process was made easy by the parts having labels that coordinated with the instructions. I am very satisfied with this product.

I bought this piece to display my monthly holiday and seasonal decorations. All my china fits on the bottom behind closed doors. I think it's a really nice looking unit except for the cardboard backing. I went to Lowe's and had them cut a piece of white beadboard for me then I just nailed that to the enire back instead. It looks FABULOUS! Also, I wish it was a little taller-I'll probably get some bun feet at Lowe's next to add to the bottom.

I put this together with a little help from my daughters, wasn't hard, but it took us pretty much all day. It's pretty heavy and it seems sturdy. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because the small door won't go on straight and the two drawers are a little too high up, especially on the right side. This results in a gap between the door and the bottom drawer and the top drawer scrapes the top of the buffet a bit when I open and close it.
