I have had my storage system (like this but black) for about 3.5-4 years now! It survived all sorts of moves. Granted when I used those little plastic round things it was fustrating at times because my dauther would put a toy in and it would fall. But after having it for a while I finally thought of using zip ties instead of those stupid plastic things. It was my best idea yet. I got the shortest little black zip ties..zip tied the thing the way I wanted to keep it. Then just trimmed the zip ties. You cannot even see the zip ties on it because it matches the black wire frame. Since zip tieing it, I have had absolutely no problem with it. It is perfect for storing the toys in.

We bought a black set of these for our oldest son and used it for a bookcase. He had LOTS of books on it and even fit his hamster cage in one of the cubes. We stacked them up one on top of the other so it was pretty tall and took up just a small amount of space (in a corner) in his room. We DID decide to bolt it to the wall so that it didn't tip over which is a must if it's at all tall. We are using the same set up in our 4 year olds room. It's a great and inexpensive piece that stores a lot of different things..I highly recommend this item.

Don't waste your money- these are terrible. I purchased a larger one with more cubes and they are impossible to put together. Once you get one side in, another pops out. And if you ever decide you want to move this- you have to take it all apart and redo. I will never purchase these again- I found much better luck with the "wooden" ones that the fabric cubes fit into.

We just moved into a new house and as I was setting my son's room up I realized I needed a new solution to organize all the diaper changing essentials. I went to target and purchased the black version of this. It was definitely not as easy to assemble as the box claims but if you are patient you will get the hang of it. The unit is extremely sturdy and I am not worried about it falling on my eight month old. I might bolt it at some point as he gets more mobile. I was so impressed with the amount of storage you get for the price that I went and bought another one for our downstairs closet. Since it was the second one I assembled it did get easier. I am debating about another one for shoes in our master closet but might go with individual plastic containers instead. I would and did recommend this product.

I bought a set earlier this year and am very pleased with the quality. Instead of investing in an overpriced closet organization system, I bought some of these to put on the floor of the closet for shoes and some folded items.

They work great! Choose your format for the cubes, then USE A HAMMER to tap the plastic joining piece onto the grid. You will see that the pieces actually fit perfectly and all the way into the little plastic joining pieces. I've moved this around the room several times and it stayed together. These units are very solid if you put them together correctly. I'm definitely going to buy more!

I will admit that it took half an hour to figure out you needed to hammer the corner pieces in place but after that it was five minutes to assemble. Just for the record, my wife and teen daughter had me rearrange the configuration twice before they were happy and it worked great. I then moved it up and down the stairs a few times over the years completely assembled with no problem. I am now using it as a greenhouse and would love to have everyone who hates this item to send their's to me (I'd gladly pay shipping). The only thing I have a problem with is that the cubes are smaller than my growing trays so I need more of them.

We first bought this set as a storage unti for my sons' playroom and it is wonderful. The first two cubes took a bit to get used to putting it together, but once you get the idea it is quick and easy. We stacked them 4 cubes high and it is both sturdy and strong. Lots of space and I never worry about my boys (age 3 1/2 and 1). We liked it so much that we put some in my older son's closet and my younger son's bedroom with large bins, and it has held everything from toys to clothes to videos. Highly recommend, and the colors make it easy to match any room!

I purchased a black model at the store for clothing and misc. storage for my son's closet and I really like it! I agree that the unit is a bit challenging to put together (although I don't think it took us two hours) but once it was put together, it has not given us any trouble! In fact, the unit is sturdy and roomy and has never come apart. I am planning on getting one for my daughter's closet as well. I guess the only advice I have is to expect assembly to be a little more challenging than it states!

It's a cumbersome to assemble, at least for one adult to do on their own. I would highly recommend that you anchor this to a wall.

Cubbies are great things in general and I think that this product along with the fabric, collapsable cubes, reinforce all the good habits we are trying to instill (i.e. everything has it's own place, clean up time).
