The umbrella itself seems to be good quality but the way they cut cost was the material used for the pole. It is very soft wood and seems to be a little too flexible. Not the best if you are in an area that gets any windy summer afternoons such as a coastal area.

I was disappointed with this purchase. The umbrella was nice when I first opened the package and it appeared to be well built. At night, I would put the umbrella down and secure it with a bungee cord around the bottom. As soon as the first storm came with somewhat higher winds, the umbrella snapped in half like a toothpick.

Very disappointed, I will be returning this! I first thought something was wrong when the umbrella arrived and the box was very thin....that's because the material that the umbrella is made with, is about as thick as a table cloth! Really looking forward to this purchase and now I can look forward to a long line at the post office to return it!

We had a cheap umbrella before this one (which broke), so I thought I would invest in something a little nicer... When my husband went to open it one day, one of the umbrella arms completely snapped!! It was past the return date, so we were not able to return it at that point. This did not even last us half the summer. Very disappointing! The wood is very lightweight and not durable at all!
