Shipped in 2 boxes, well packaged and in tact. The table went together in 15 minutes, and once I figured out the chairs, maybe 20 minutes each to put together. Easy instructions, tools, and hardware. The finished product is absolutely beautiful for the price, it looks like I spent a lot more money. The seat cushions were a bit darker than I thought, but I like them even more now! Very impressed.

I love this set. It was definitely a pain to put together but once you get the hang of it, it's a little easier. I suggest setting aside a few hours to put it all together, and maybe keep a few beers on hand! ha.

My table was a little defective. They tightened one of the screws too much and it pierced through the top of the table. It's a minor imperfection, and for the price, I didn't bother boxing it back up to send it back since I had already put it together!

All in all, it's a great, inexpensive set. Just have patience with it :-)

I've put together a lot of Target and [another retailer's] furniture before, but this one takes the cake. The chairs in particular took FOREVER to assemble, and that was with two people! I don't know how the other poster did it so quickly.

Once I got it together though, I really liked it. The wood looks nice (not cheap like some assembled furniture) and the chairs are pretty sturdy. My only problem was that the table came defective - one of the table legs' holes was about twice the size of the screws (making it impossible to secure it). Some of the chairs were also aligned poorly. You'd think they could have someone inspect them more closely...

All in all, a good buy for the money. I'd just allow plenty of time for assembly, and get ready for some frustrations when things don't line up correctly.

The table, although small is nice. The chairs however, once put together look cheap. I have the X back barstools that I purchased in the store, and they are very nice. The chairs with this set, look cheap. You are able to see the screws on the sides. In addition there is a gap on each of the sides where they are screwed together. I was hoping it wasn't noticeable, but so far two friends have commented on my chairs looking cheap and not matching the rest of the look of my house. This is the first time I have bought furniture online and probably will be my last.

My husband and I bought this set after we bought the matching counter stools. They look beautiful and were very easy to assemble! The color is deep and rich. The size is perfect for our morning room! It was exactly what we expected.
