The XBox 360 Elite is really just an XBox 360 in black. There are NO improvements to the console itself, unless of course you value black more over white...

However, when it comes to value, the Elite is your choice. While the HDMI port was a new addition only for a while (since the normal XBox 360 Premiums are getting HDMI ports as well), this console comes packed with an HDMI cable, a commodity left out of the premium package. That's $50 right there. Then there is 100GB more of hard drive space. That's worth an extra $100 easy, which basically saves you $50 over the premium package.

Basically, if you have the resources to use HDMI cable (An HDTV capable of 1080p), this is probably the best choice. The extra hard drive space just sweetens the deal.

On the other hand, if you plan on downloading updates, storing photos and movies, et cetera, you could really use the 100GB of extra space, even if you have no use of the cable. Better value over all.

The Xbox 360 Elite is an absolute beauty. Some great advantages with this system is... BRAND NEW Color! Yes the black is geourgeous but it does remind you of the PS3, PS2, GameCube, Xbox, etc... colors. And you get a black cotroler :D, and you can't forget the 120GB memory! Thats right 100more GB than your regular system. I really want one of these, I highly reccomend it.

The xbox 360 elite is worth it. The best thing about it is that the color is sensational...BLACK!!! On the other hand, the 120 gb of your life can fit in it. But I still disgrace the fact that these big name consoles lie when it comes to memory space. 120 gb=98gb???!!!!! However, the microsoft foundation definately invented something that has and will continue to entertain all of us today. :)

First off I bought this system for live. it was working great for the first 6 months. Then it happened. RROD!(red ring of death is when the system has a failure). It was too much to start off before the price drop. Then i learn that a 360 has had a 54% failure raate since launch! Well i'm just going to save my money for a good pc. its worth it. hope this helps!

This console is amazing! i bought my x box from target on Sunday because it came with the hdmi cable and is super awesome in black :D the elite is a much better choice to get over the pro. the elite has 100 more gigs of space and comes with a $ mic for free. I couldn't be happier with the elite and hope you decide to get one too!
