All four large plates cracked within 2 months of purchase- two of which broke in half from being gently put in the sink. These plates were gorgeous, but a great disappointment.

They look nice, but after one week the plates started to chip. I used a plate in the microwave and it cracked in half!

I hesitated on buying these because I had read the reviews regarding the stains. I loved them so much I finally bought them. My parents were visiting and my mom decided she wanted fresh cherries. She grabbed one of my plates and put the cherries on them and left them there for a few days. When I realized that the cherries would stain, I panicked and transferred them to a white bowl. Of course they were stained all the way through to the bottom of the crackles. Well, I grabbed what I usually used for stains - Clorox Clean-up and hoped for the best. I sprayed it on and let it sit for about 15 minutes. When I came back most of the stain was gone, but not completely. I grabbed a toothbrush and rubbed it in for about a minute and left it another 15 minutes, after that the stain was completely gone. I figured if the cherry juice could penetrate the crackles then so could the clorox clean-up. The plate was good as new and now I'm not worried that any stains will ruin my beautiful set.

Don't hesitate to buy them like I did. Just grab a bottle of Clorox Clean-up and you're good to go!

I got these plates for a wedding gift. We had them for less than a year when they started to crack and chip. The mugs have held up the best, but the bowls and plates have all chipped and cracked. These plates are pretty, but NOT durable.

I got these plates for my wedding and I love these plates so much. They are so big and have excellent sides to them. There are few draw backs I wish I had relized. You CANNOT microwave using them, they are stone they will crack. Also if you eat something with a dark color i.e. lasgana, it will stain your plates. I would suggest eating and immediatly washing your plates. The liquid gets down into the small cracks that gives it the unique look that you probably like so much. My husband and I use them everyday and we are just careful with them becasue we love them so much we don't want to stop using them. After I know what I know I would still buy them.

They look really pretty, but they are not microwave safe. After a few seconds they will burn or crack.

I've had this set for about 2 years now and have had to purchase extra pieces a la carte along the way to replace the broken or chipped pieces. I read previous reviews where people claimed that the plates or cups were stained in the cracked areas. I also had this experience. Especially in coffee mugs where there is dark or black coffee. But my main complaint with this line is the CHIPPING! Every single salad plate I have has been chipped and I do not use these plates for my kids, only adults and we handle them well. They chip at the edges most often mainly on the larger dinner plates and small salad plates. Very annoying!

I can't understand how so many people have trouble with these plates. The set I have has survived two international moves from Korea, not to mention the two times I've moved in the U.S. I give them five stars for traveling everywhere with me and still looking beautiful.

I would say I expect a life of at least 10 years out of a good set of dishes. We bought service for 8 for abot .....with our wedding gift money. Three years into our marriage, and we are about to have to scrap these stupid dishes! Each one is chipped, cracked, or broken!!! My husband was walking towards our white couches with a bowl of ravioli only last week, and the bowl just broke out of nowhere- the part he was holding was still in his hand!!! I am in the process of finding out about a warranty, but the only information I can find is extremely vague. Argh! NEVER buy target brand dishes!!! EVER!!
