EXPENSIVE!!!!! July 31, 2009 Reviewer:  Mikey T (California)  See all my reviews >

Great water but the price per gallon is HIGH! They claim 15 gallons per filter if you call tech support but I get more like 10. Filters run about $. Mine's taste funny, like weak lemon water after awhile even though the meter registers below 6. I'm not buying any more filters after the last 3 are gone. [...]

Slow and Costly September 1, 2009 Reviewer:  S. Cowan "SC" (Canyon Lake, TX)  See all my reviews >

Pitcher takes my whole lunch hour to fill. Liked the taste but the filter needs replacing and I have had the unit for 3 weeks. Replacement cost for 2 filters is almost as much as the original unit. Don't reccommend it if you have a well or hard water.

Best filter for the price - delicious water!! September 24, 2009 Reviewer:  lala mommy See all my reviews >

we were tired of having to get 2-3 gallons of water every few days at the grocery store, and having the waste of the bottles, also don't have space to store the large 5 gallon jugs. Our daughter has asthma and we decided to change the water she'd been drinking. We found zero water and are very happy with it. our local water has about 325 ppm which falls into the 'bad' category. We knew our water was disgusting - we live in a farm town - there's pesticides in our water. I didn't know that we could turn our nasty water into delicious pur water. I compare it to Fiji water - it's great. It does get a 'smell' after a while, but that's just the build-up in the filter - it's taking all that junk out of our water, it just proves it's working. We will probably have to replace the filter every 8-15 gallons because our water is so bad. That's only if you replace it when they say you should. so about $1 per gallon after initial investment of $40. also, they will send you coupons if you sign up online and they have a rebate program to recycle used filters.

ZERO vs Market Pantry Water October 24, 2009 Reviewer:  TargetShopperGirl (Orange County, CA)  See all my reviews >

We bought this on October 12 and today the water reading was at 20+, our tap water reads at 324, so at minimum we should be able to get 8 gallons. I'd say we got about 5 gallons then it started to taste funny yesterday. The pitcher filled carries 1/2 gallons (as noted). The filter comes into two packs for $.... (so, $... each). Based on that, we found that it is better for us to just buy water bottles for $.... (on sale) - $.... (regular price)[24 packs = 4 gallons] + CRV, the water reading measured for Market Pantry Water is ZERO. The 24 packs gives us about 1 1/2 weeks for $.... not on sale and with tax. ZERO gave us about 1 1/2 weeks for $... initial investment. $... per filter every 1 1/2 weeks or $... 1 1/2 weeks?

Pro: You don't have to worry about carry a 24 pack water bottle in your car to your house. Spacesaver. Good filter system compared to other brands.

Con: Depends on your water measurement. Filter comes in 2 packs for $... You have to replace the filter as recommended at a water reading of 6.

Currently, we are using it as a pitcher. I don't mind buying Market Pantry Water that reads ZERO and that I don't have to occassionally check if the reading is okay. I prefer to carry that to my house than pay $30.00 each month for a water filter, when I can pay $.... for water bottles each month, that is also portable.

Thanks!

Slow but Good September 23, 2009 Reviewer:  John Hanbury Real Name (Hattiesburg, MS USA)  See all my reviews >

The water produced is great!

This unit does take a while to filter and fill the pitcher, especially when the water level gets near the top. This is because water seeks its own level, so it does not exit the bottom of the filter very fast. However, if you lift the filtering unit above the water level when it gets high, the filtering goes much faster.

The replacement filters are pricey, but if your tap water is not very bad, the filters last a long time. My tap water registers 0.139 ppm and my filter is still registering 0.000 after about one month and over 20 gallons. If you have really bad water it may be too expensive.

Best Water I've ever had September 18, 2009 Reviewer:  Jessica See all my reviews >

This is the best filter system I have ever purchased. The filters are expensive and don't last as long as they say it should, but it is well worth the money. In the long run it is costing the same as buying bottled water, but tastes better and is better for the environment.

Zero Water October 23, 2009 Reviewer:  Melanie (Boston, MA)  See all my reviews >

Great water filtering system. I like that it comes with a water tester. We use this for our babies bottles so it is very important that it filters well. I only wish I bought the bigger one. It's a little pricey for filter replacement
