I went through some pretty good brands of hot water pots that never worked well, then bought the Zojirushi 3 liter (101 oz). It has been over 2 years and I have never turned it off except for the few minutes to clean it. This is a product you can depend on: Constant temperature, quick heating, temp guage that actually works. It is one of those kitchen fixtures my guests always know to go to after selecting their own tea from the basket always next to it. As dependable as an old friend! I'm back for another for my office. I miss mine too much when I am there!

My family and I have always used Zojirushi hot water dispensers and they have become a staple in our kitchen. Unfortunately the "scum" built up inside our last one and my husband put it out on the curb for a donation. (He thought chlorine or other chemicals were building up inside, or that the teflon side was wearing away and we were drinking it.)
I should have gone online beforehand and ordered a dozen packets of the cleaner for a few dollars more... Instead I am looking for brand new dispenser. Maybe I'll still buy a dozen packets of the cleaner just to have them in stock in our pantry.
Ironically, he is the tea drinker that uses the Zojirushi more than me, but I am the one that misses it!
