This product looks great, but it does not manually dispense the hot water. It has an electronic button that must be pressed to unlock and then activate the water dispenser, which sounds a beep and activates a light. This may limit its use for some buyers. These features are not immediately obvious from the description.

It does look good & worked well for a year or so. Then hell broke loose:

1) Its inner coating always concerns me, it should be of the infamous carcinogenic Teflon type. And mine started to rust & disintegrate after year one.

2) Now water droplets can be seen on the top temperature display, as well as the front water level gauge (in front of it).

3) Water also leaks from the front lower seam. Very annoying.

4) It also makes a strange noise when water is being boiled.

I've had this pot for four years now and I'm still happy with it. It automatically stays at the temperature that you give it, and the electric dispensing feature is really convenient for when you want to meter out some hot water into a mug.

If you use tap water, I've noticed that you sometimes get deposits on the bottom, but it's nothing that isn't readily fixed with the cleaning packets that they sell for this thing or citric acid.

I noticed that a different review gave it three stars for it not being appropriate for "shabbat". It's a shame that someone would give it such a low rating for religious reasons. If you aren't going to use electricity when you want to pump out water, you can always open the top and pour it into something like a vacuum sealed container to keep it warm.
