Target Stores Return & Refund Policy
A receipt dated within 90 days is required for all returns and exchanges.
All returns and exchanges must be new, unused, and contain all original packaging and accessories. A form of personal identification may be required. Some items cannot be returned if opened, including music, movies, video games, software and collectibles. Other restrictions may apply.
Store refunds will be issued in the same form of payment originally used for purchase:
- Credit Card Purchases: Your refund will be credited to the original credit card.
- Target GiftCard Purchases: Your refund will be issued in the form of a Target GiftCard good for purchases made at Target stores and on Target.com.
- Gift Recipients: If your return is made with a gift receipt, your refund will be issued as a Target GiftCard good for purchases made at Target stores and on Target.com.
- Check Purchases: Your refund may be issued in the form of cash or a Target GiftCard good for purchases made at Target stores and on Target.com.

In most instances, Target stores can verify purchases made on a credit/debit card, check or GiftCard using our Refund Look-up system.
Target does allow a limited amount of no receipt refunds or exchanges for guests that don’t have a recieipt.
All other returns or exchanges, including those without a receipt, will be offered manufacturers’ warranty and repair assistance at 1-800-303-0308.

Club Wedd and Target Baby guests can return registry items listed on their Gift Purchase Log. The Gift Purchase Log must be printed at the store kiosk and used as a receipt during the return. Target allows a limited amount of no receipt returns for registrants using their Gift Purchase Log.
Restocking Fees: Some items are subject to a 15% restocking fee, including camcorders, digital cameras, portable DVD players and portable electronics.
Tax: The appropriate tax amount by item will be included with your refund.
Discounts and Promotions: The refunded value for each item returned will be reduced to reflect the value of any free gift or discount.
Holiday and Seasonal Merchandise Refunds: Holiday and seasonal merchandise on clearance at the time of return will be refunded at the current clearance price.
