Target.com, Powered by Amazon.com
At Target.com, you’ll find the value, selection and quality you expect from Target, along with the technical innovation and convenience you enjoy at Amazon.com. Because of the partnership between Target.com and Amazon.com, you can use your account information from one store to shop at the other, to save you time and effort online.
Creating a Target.com Account
When you create an account at Target.com, Amazon.com will store and use your information on behalf of Target.com. At the time you create your account, you can choose to use your Target.com account credentials (e-mail and password) and address book on Amazon.com as well. This information will be subject to Amazon.com’s Privacy Notice, unless you choose not to take advantage of this option.
Using Your Existing Amazon.com Account If you’re already an Amazon.com guest, we’ll give you the option of using your existing Amazon.com address book, credit cards and sign-in information on Target.com to avoid having to enter the information again. When you do this, Amazon.com will provide us with your Amazon.com account information, which will be subject to Target.com's Privacy Policy.
Secure Sockets Layering (SSL)
Our website uses Secure Sockets Layering (SSL) to encrypt your personal credit information, incluiding your credit card number, before it travels over the internet. SSL technology is the industry standard for secure online transactions. Because we use SSL, placing an order online at our website is just as safe as giving your credit card number over the phone.
Your Privacy Because Target.com uses information differently than Amazon.com, we encourage you to read both privacy policies. We both know that you care about how your information is used and shared, and we appreciate the trust you place in us.
For information about how we collect, use, and protect information about our online guests, please read the Target.com Privacy Policy.
