If you've ever had to inflate a bicycle tire with a manual pump, you will definitely appreciate this. Made the job so much easier and quicker. And now when my car tires lose pressure, I won't have to go out of my way to find a gas station.
I have had this pump for about 10 years now. The cord is plenty long enough to reach all car tires or anything else you need to inflate. I used it to fill up a large inflatable pool many times with no problems. It takes awhile to fill large inflatables and can take some time to fill a car tire if it is really low. You need to remember that this is not a large pump so it will take 5 minutes or so to put 10 psi into a car tire. If you can't get to or safely drive to a station this pump is great. Works great on bike tires. Overall I have been very satisfied with it. The flexibility of filling tires and inflatables has been great. No need to keep the beach inflatables blown up so you don't pass out when you get there trying to do it by mouth. Just use this pump when you get there. Using the pump to deflate items worked faster that trying to squeeze the valve open on the stems and deflate them. The small cone tip pushes past that valve and can pull all the air out easily.Cons: It has worked great up until now. The pressure gauge stopped working after 4-5 years, but I always check tires with a separate one anyway. So this really made no difference. This year the pump will only fill to about 35 psi then stop. After 10 years of a lot of use I am sure the motor is about to give out. Pro: From all the similar pumps out there I think this one is the best. The cheaper ones appear to not work or break very quickly by all the negative reviews. The ability to fill inflatable toys/pools has been great. For the price and 10 years of heavy use I have not seen a portable 12 volt car compressor that is better. I will probably be buying a new one.If it was a little cheaper I would give it 5 stars.
