I had dyed my hair red and wasn't feeling it. So I took a chance and tried this stuff. The smell is pretty bad but it worked great so I can live with the smell. It wasn't harsh on my hair either.
I was looking online for a hair dye and I came across this. I really like that there's no bleach and me personally its easy to use.
Easy to use
the direction are easy to follow
there is no bleach
your hair turns to it natural/or close to natural hair color
It smell horrible, it made me gag
it makes your scalp itchy
You have to rinse, shampoo and repeat till 20mins to get the stuff out, the longer you do this the better results. I suggest 40mins to an hour
My natural hair color is a light to lighter medium ash brown. I've been dying my hair Blowout Burgundy from Feria for about 6 months or so. I got tired of the upkeep and decided I wanted to go as back as close to my natural brown as possible. Even though it fades quickly, red is one of the most difficult colors to get out, and you can't cover color like that with color (you have to strip the color out). I didn't want to go to the salon and spend a fortune or use bleach, but I was worried how this stuff would work or affect my hair. I researched, researched, researched and decided to take the risk. The product was easy to mix, and a little difficult to apply (it's runnier than hair dye). I followed the instructions to the T. The smell was unpleasant but not unbearable. The worst part of the process is the rinse time. Do not skip out on this!! My hair felt dry in the shower but I used a moisture mask and it felt much better. Quite a few strands came out in the shower as well, but nothing to be worried about. My hair dried and came out a light strawberry brown! It worked! The smell was still very, very faint on my hair. My hair was in good enough condition to dye again, so I chose a light ash brown (ash has green undertones and will counteract the red). Since my hair was porous after using Color Oops, I didn't leave the dye on my hair as long so it wouldn't turn out too dark. My hair is now a wonderful natural brown and I am so relieved with the results.
Bottom line: Color Oops works. Follow the instructions. It will reverse color that is too dark. Good luck!
