The quality is a step up from many of the available turntables [...]. I only bought this one because the [other] model I returned had slower speed on 33 1/3 - slowed it down just enough to be obnoxious. [...]The ipod docking station is a nice feature, but the only thing it can be used for is charging your ipod or recording voice memos to your ipod. Never bothered to hook the unit it up to the computer, maybe you can then name the files and move them to appropriate folders. Recording to ipod was decent quality. Playing the ipod through the docking station is not worth the time. It seems like it shouldn't be a big deal to incorporate that feature, but playing back other mp3s from my ipod through the unit gave a horrible distortion and was not tolerable to listen to. The only way to listen to the ipod through the unit is to plug in through the aux jack on the back of the unit. The records played well, but this unit is really not meant to be used in a setting outside of recording mp3s directly to your ipod or computer. Also, the output besides USB on this unit is a cable which already has the RCA ends attached - not very helpful if you were hoping to use computer speakers. Another quirk is that the volume knob is on the back of the unit - very inconvenient to reach around - the front buttons are used to control the ipod and likely input into the computer through USB. Overall, good quality, but not living room friendly. [...]
This turntable was given as a gift for Christmas. It was then brought to college and the output did not work. Upon returning home the issue was brought to my attention. Sadly the warranty had expired. Its defective and the company will do nothing about it. Target could not help either. 90 days is all you get.
