My hair varies from course dark to almost blond and fine. The darker most noticable hair is also in areas with less sun exposure so the skin is lighter. It worked very well in those areas and in about 4 treatments the hair is about gone. Areas with the thickest hair are going a little slower. Its even working on the lighter hair but it was never as noticable so its harder to tell. Seems to work on a variety of types though in some areas faster than others. Almost no pain compared to waxing or epilating. Because after a few months there is no hair left it could be the least expesive and less time consuming of all in the long run. It also has provided the best results, no stubble and always smooth and clean looking.
I was getting laser hair removal at a med spa, but it was getting hard to get appointments after the treatment became popular. This unit seemed basically similar to the "laser" at the med spa, so I bought it and am happy with it. Obviously it isn't as powerful as a professional unit, but I can see the difference after 3 treatments. It was a good investment for me, and I am happy I bought it.
