I had to figure out how to use up my non-K-cup coffee. The machine I got for my home came with the My K-cup accessory. It works well, but I didn't like the fact that you had to remove the K-cup holder whenever I wanted to use my own grind. There are 3 parts to it so you have that somewhat small hassle of cleaning them. With the Solo it is only one piece and it is notched so you don't have to remove the K-cup holder. It drops in just like a regular K-cup. Too bad they didn't update the image. The one that is currently showing on the Target website is an old version. The new Solo ,at least the one at my local Target, looks just like a K-cup except that it has a hinged lid. It's still red. My wife drinks tea and it works if you drop a tea bag in it and brew away. I think loose leaf tea may not work since it could clog the filter screen, but I just remove the string from the tea bag and drop it in and close the lid.
I bought this in hope of making a better cup of coffee then the one that Keurig themselves makes for their own makers. It turns out that it is even worse the first time I used it it did nothing but make a mess inside and outside of the coffee maker, the lid on it came undone and the coffee went everywhere. I tried a few adjustments nothing I tried worked and I used it according to what the instructions that came with it told me to do. I did manage to find a way to make it work, I have the Keurig brand filter you can put regular coffee in, and by using this in the plastic chute inside of your coffee maker it actually doesn't work that bad. Overall I would not buy it again [...]
I had high hopes for the solofill. But I have to say it has made a huge mess all over my machine and counter. This is not user error. I know what grind to use and how to fill the solofill. But it simply makes a weak coffee 80 percent of the time. The rest of the time it sprays coffee everywhere.
Instead I went to [...] and got the highly reviewed [...], which I would have bought at Target, but they don't carry it. The [...] is made in the USA and works awesome. I have made 50 cups of coffee with it and it has paid for itself 3 times now!
Amazing to me Target doesn't carry the Ekobrew
