I bought this and I must say it's a great dress. It is maxi length if you wrap it the right way. The back sits very low on the waist and the front can be wrapped as modest or as daring as you like. The material is typical of summer dresses, light and comfortable. Also if you need help with different styles for this dress you can find them on YouTube. I only wish it came in a patterned material as well.
I used these for bridesmaids dresses and they were perfect. They weren't long enough for the girls to wear heels which is why I gave it four stars instead of five but they were good for each of the body types, my very tiny Korean cousin, my sister who is a more curvy, and my sister-in-law who is a little larger.
The material was light and super comfortable to wear. I prefer to wear strapless, but some of the girls wanted to wear a regular bra and we were able to cover all the straps with a little imaginative wrapping. We used a broach to accent the dresses moving them from a fun day dress to a great evening dress.
My sister is also taking the dress with her this summer to Italy because the wrap is thick enough to be used as sleeves, which is required for almost every church/cathedral.
I thought it was great, and for a bridesmaid's dress, very affordable.
I love the idea behind this dress, and it's a bargain compared to other convertible dresses on the market, but it's just not long enough to be a maxi dress.
I'm 5'7'' and it hits mid-calf on me. I suppose it would be maxi length on someone that was 5'1'' or something, but it just wasn't a good fit for me.
Other than that, I liked that it was hemmed (some others I've seen aren't) and that the straps were both wide and long enough for a good range of styles.
I had been looking at a multi-way dress for awhile to take on a cruise. So when this one went on clearance.....I snatched it. I got the friar plum in an XL petite and it fits wonderfully! I am 180lbs and 5'2 and the dress hits at about my ankles. The XL fit beautifully and the purple color is even prettier in person. I am a large busted woman so I was really worried about the lack of styles. YouTube has plenty of videos and just use your imagination! I spent a few hours tying it all different ways! I managed to find about 20 ways to wear the dress with a strapless bra. I can't wait to wear this dress on our cruise!
I played with this dress in the mirror for about half an hour, just using my imagination and everyway I put it, it looked amazing. The fabric has a nice drape, and it isn't see thru at all. I bought the black, and it is truly a petite size. I am 5'1, 96lbs, and I bought the pxs. The elastic waist measures 10.5" total 21 un-stretched, and the length from the waist down is 37". The ties are very, very long and are used for the top and wrapping around you. It fits me nicely, but I would like a little more length, so I will order a petite small the next time. I want this dress in all the colors, it's gorgeous with so many possibilities!
