My 10-year-old boy says:
"This is awesome! Also, I like those punchy things on the side of the gear. The gear really fits well. The recommended age is 3-8. Really? I'm a 10-year-old boy and I love it! Peace out."
I am simply amazed by this entire line of Imaginext dinosaurs. The concept and individual detail of this figure is amazing. The Triceratops has so many features packed into just one toy. The entire line mimics my favorite toy line from the 1980s but with one major benefit: durability. The triceratops is tough and it holds up under tough play. The armor is very impressive too and my son was able to figure out where all the pieces fit. It has many moving parts with easy to unlock features.
Combining prehistoric dinosaurs with future-esque weapons and battle armor unlocks hours of play driven by my son's imagination. I hope that there are more dinosaurs to come in this line to battle my Triceratops.
I bought this guy since he reminded me of a toy line that was around when I was a younger.
I now have a young child of my own and when he is old enough I will enjoy buying him Imaginext products as well.
I like the stury dinosaur figure, he has good articulation, sturdy construction, and has an excellent sculpt.
The tech gear is very detailed as well, the control panel shows the dinosaur stats, the launching weapons and weapon storage, removable gear, and working wench are great play features
The human figure includes the harness/mask accesories is well articulated in the usual way of the Imaginext figures.
I didn't like that he doesn't include a hand tool or crystal piece like the smaller sets do and the missiles will fire by themselves if the firing mechanism isn't centerd.
My son wanted this apatosaurus for his birthday. I had mixed feelings considering the reviews, but we got it & he loves it. The gear may not be typical imaginext quality, but it has neat features like missiles & a computer. The dinosaur is a good quality toy.
My son likes the dinosaurs. He plays with them but we cannot get the accessories to stay on. Most times he...or I....get frustrated and end up just taking the accessories away and just playing with the dinos.
My son loves dinosaurs so we got him a few of the imaginext dinosaur collection and he loves all the dinos except the parts that you put on the dinos to haul the people around never stay on, we have tried on every dino and they dont stay, maybe if there was something they could click to it would work alot better, I am upset about that because of the price i paid for every dino and he cannot even use them like they are supposed to be used.
