So if you've ever seen Transformers Prime, then you have an idea of Predakings size. And that there is an issue with the size of the voyager class toy in Predacon mode. Next to a Voyager Optimus, it doesn't stack up, and looks small.
Now you have Ultimate Predaking, who works perfect with your voyager class figures while in his Predacon form. He is big, looming and threatening. The figure fits well with the other Beast Hunters figures and is one not to be missed.
The figure is not flawless though. As a toy for the kids, this is perfect! However for someone who displays these figures, or is a collector, the paint apps are few and far between. Primarily he is black and orange, with a few extra details here and there. However, the details could have gone a lot further with some great molded in detail on the figure that isn't painted. The other issue is while this figure works great in in his beast mode with other figures, he is HUGE in robot form. When compared to his onscreen self, he's a tad bigger than Optimus. The toy is a few heads taller.
Overall, this is a great figure that I'm proud to have in my collection. It brings some extra flare to my Beast Hunters display, and as a toy, kids like big and this one is no exception. Even if you have a little one who is going to give this a lot of play, they're going to be very happy with it. Especially with its fairly simple transformation.
Simple Transformation makes it easy to shift from Dragon to Robot and Back again.
Large figure that while in his Dragon form, looks great with deluxe and voyager Beast Hunter figures.
Lack of paint apps.
Robot mode is a bit large compared to his onscreen representation.
My 7 year old son has loved this toy since he has received it. He loves that he can build his own transformer and also that they transform easily unlike the others he has. He also loved that it has an accompanying (free) app and played with that for a long time! I like that he was able to put them together with out any help and he was able to follow the directions very easily. I also like the storage containers they came in, it makes for easy clean up. ***I did receive this toy as part of a campaign for BzzAgent all opinions are my own***
I received the transformers construct-bot form [...] for free and gave it to my son as a reward for doing good. my son eye lid up when he saw the package. The next day as soon as i walked in the door he couldn't wait to show me his creations. It come with a case that you can pack everything back up in once they are done playing with it and that is what i like the most. so far no parts have broken off yet. cross my finger
