I, like many others here, looked EVERYWHERE for a fabric headboard for my daughter's room. Oftentimes the headboards I found were just as expensive as buying the whole bed. When I came across this one on Target, I was a little hesitant because of the price. And I hate buying furniture online because I can't touch it and judge the quality. But I happened to find this headboard [...] and after reading the reviews, I was convinced. And I am so happy I bought it! It arrived within about 4 days from buying it.. even though it was estimated to deliver over a month out.. and the quality is exceptional. I bought the hot pink.. which like the other reviewers say is actually bubblegum pink.. and it is absolutely beautiful! It was very easy to install, and it looks great. see less

I read the reviews before I ordered. I still was not sure. It came much faster than it said. I ordered it in black and it is beautiful! I was worried it would not be very tall after the mattress was on it. I was very surprised! I truly love this headboard!!!! You will not be disappointed! I ordered this bed for my daughter. I shopped all over looking for a trendy bed that had the loft featuer with plenty of apparel and toy storage. This was by far the best one I found, especially for the price! It came in 3 large shipping boxes and only one piece was slightly dented but still very usable. It took my husband and his friend 8 hours to put together though. So make sure you have time set aside to assemble. But for [$] dollars it's worth it. Not to mention my daughter loves it and gets compliments from everyone who sees it! The drawer quality should be improved though, it's good enough, but pretty shaky going in and out. see less

I ordered this bed for my 6 year old son. It is very sturdy and I love the extra storage under the bed. I love the way it looks with the headboard also. The only bad thing about the bed it that the edges are sharp and the drawer handles are very sharp.I have found myself getting off of his bed very cautiously so as to not scratch my legs up. I think I will change the hardware even though I love the look of the ones it came with. see less

We were looking for a "big girl" bed that our daughters could grow into. They wanted bunk beds for fun. This hits both! We were able to repurpose the twin mattresses they had as the upper bunk and only buy the double for the bottom, no box springs needed. When they out grow the bunk beds, we just take the twin off and they have their big girl beds. The quality is excellent. Assembly was a bit challenging. My husband said "This is a bed kit!". The wood is solid and not the press board you often see. The paint was sprayed on and looks perfect. We could not be more excited with the value and the girls are delighted with thier new beds. see less

Cant find a style bunk bed like this 4 the price and quality at any other furniture store. Looked everywhere, glad that we decided to get this for our 3 yr old. We only have 1 kid, but for now she sleeps on the bottom, which actually works out for me as I lay with her until she is asleep and all her dolls are on the top bunk...storage! The slant ladder makes it easy and safe for her to climb up and down and it's not in the way. Having beds for overnite guests is another great use we are getting. Beds can be separated and if she has a bro or sis in the future, it will be useful for that too. My husband put the bed together and took no more than 4 hours. All the wood pieces are labled with stickers to facilitate assembly. Only reason I knocked a star off on quality is because the wood is not the best, but can't really expect any thing more. The price is already great and I'm sure it will last longer than expected. We are happy and satisfied with this purchase. see less

I only have one complaint ... see more

I only have one complaint on this bunk bed and it is significant, in my opinion. The white paint was off-gassing VOCs to the point the kids and I could only be in the room for a few minutes before getting light headed. We tried all the tricks - fans, windows, high heat, onions, vinegar, baking soda - to no avail. I finally decided to pull it apart, partially sand it down, prime it with AFM Safecoat to seal in the remaining fumes, and recoat it with some quality paint. In hindsight, it would have been just as quick and effective to fully sand it down, but I ordered the primer/sealer before I started to sand. Other than that - this is a great deal compared to any other bunk beds I could find. The bunk beds are solid, the wood is mostly solid pine, and the parts fit together well. After about 100 dollars in materials and 20-ish hours, it is much better and safer than new. If it wasn't for the poor and dangerous paint - I would have given 5 stars. see less

This bed is very good for the price you pay. It can be a little wobbly if the kids are bouncing around too much on the top bunk, so I am careful to not let them be too rough on the bed. Not sure if the bed was put together exactly to instructions, since I did not put it together, but the only downfall is the head of the mattress tends to "sink" because it's barely held in place by the last rung. If there were more rungs holding the mattress, I think it would seem more supportive. But again for the price, its a good bed for the kids. I like the sort of modern style and the dark wood color. see less

This is a very attractive, minimalistic headboard that is very easy to assemble and attach to a standard bed frame. Although it isn't a Target-branded product, it goes very nicely with Target's Room Essentials "espresso" furniture. see less

I love this bed I got it 4 months ago for my 3 year old. It has everything she needs and more. What I really love about this bed is there is a space underneath for her to play or do what ever she feels. It is her own personnal space. It is also easy for her to get up and down and there is a place for her to put her cup at night. There is also a spot for her to put her story books and favorit things. my daughter says she love her bed and so do I. I would reconmend this bed to anyone. This bed is Awsome! see less

We got this bed for our 4 year old son. My husband put it together in a couple hours. I only had to help him lift in up on the two ends. Our son easily goes up and down the latter. It's quite sturdy. The only complaint I can come up with would be the middle drawer of the dresser. We have to push it a certain way to close it, but I think that it partially my husbands doing when he put it together. Other than that we all love it. Very stylish and fun. see less

Ordered this bed for our 4 year old daughter. She loves the "bunk bed" style and has no problems getting up and down the ladder. Not too bad to put together, I put most of it together myself, needed my husband to help me lift the bed portion onto the dresser tops. This is a solid piece of furniture, although I did tell my daughter not too jump on it :) The space underneath fits the matching desk, or is really cute with a chair and lamp, she like to sit underneath and read books! We just put together our daughter's swing set, and THAT was terrible! When this bed arrived, we were nervous that it would also be a challenge. But according to other reviews, it didn't seem like it would be. And everyone was right! This was so easy to put together!!! And the bed looks so sturdy and solid. Just looking at it, nobody would guess it was bought from Target and assembed at home. A special 'thanks' to other reviewers who suggested using a Twin XL for the top mattress. Been stalking this bed for a while now & when Target started the save 15 percent & free shipping promo I went for it & I bought it for my 9 year old daughter. I did see it featured with other vendors but Target had the best price. [..]. It came in 3 big heavy boxes but that is just because this is a great quality bed made of strong & sturdy wood. Took about an hour or so to build but it was not too complicated. Quick note & good to know, top bed is twin XL mattress size & trundle is standard Twin mattress size. Once built it measures 81 and 3 fourths inches long from head to foot X 41 inches tall X 41 and 5 eighths inches across from left to right with the trundle closed. see less

We purchased this bed in white for my 12 year old's room. We searched all over for this style and Target had, by far, the best value for our money. It was easy to put together and looks incredible in her room. One thing to note - it looks like a platform bed but is constructed around a bed frame so you will need a boxspring. I bought it in a full size and caught it on sale for[$] which was a awesome deal .i know it say hot pink but it's more of a bubble gum color which worked out perfect because we painted her room two different Shades of pink and everything came out fabulous . It's simple and understated, easy to attach to your bed frame, and the price is great for a headboard. At first I didn't think the holes were going to line up with the holes on the bedframe, because there are three holes on the headboard poles and I thought you had to put screws through all three. Really though, you only have to screw it on using two out of three holes. (And they only give you enough screws for this, so I guess it should have been obvious to me but it wasn't). So, with the way the holes on the headboard poles are spaced, you have a variety of options for lining it up with the holes on your bedframe. see less

Just received my new bed. It is exactly what I wanted and expected. Right now it is used in a guest room, but eventually my son will be using it. The bed is nice because it can go both masculine and feminine with the right bedding. Not too fancy, but not too plain either. I was able to put it together myself, no problem. I am a 46 year old female. Not sure why others had issues with assembly. It shipped earlier than stated, so it was waiting for me when I got home from vacation. Besides the bed being beautiful, I got it cheap. It was on sale for 20 percent off and I got the extra 5 percentTarget discount for using my Red Card. I had just upgraded my bed size from a Full to a Queen and needed a bed frame which was more expensive than I thought. For a little extra, I was able to get the whole bed - headboard, footboard, and frame. One final note, my mattress is really thick and the headboard is tall enough to show. Thanks Target. see less

I agree with the other reviewer. It is a nice bed, but it does take a lot of work. If you are not very handy like me, expect to spend a whole day doing it alone. The bed is rather sturdy. I was afraid that it would be cheaply made. It is a good value for the amount that you pay. My biggest gripe about the bed is that the handles for the drawers are metal and have sharp edges which are not the most ideal for a child's bed. I actually took them off because my son skinned his shins on them twice. My wife and I have gone to Lowe's and Home Depot to look for replacements with no luck. I am thinking I will either leave them off and deal with the holes or put them back on but put a rubber cover over them so they are not so sharp. Otherwise, it is a good bed for what you pay but a lot of work if you are not good with your hands. see less

Bought this for my 3 year old son and he absolutely loves it. The bed is a little pricey, but it's worth it! He loves climbing up into the bed and also playing underneath the bed. He loves to store a lot of his toys under there. I just bought a twin set and the frame and mattress fit fine in it and it sits high within the frame. However, I have not had an issue with him falling out of the bed at all. He moves a lot and so far I have been fortunate that he has not fallen out yet. see less

This bed is great! I got it for my .. year old son and he abolutely loves it. We don't use the underneath for storage becasue my son uses it as a fort and he has plenty of room to sit up while under there. It's great he is so proud of his bed it is the first thing he shows everyone. It is very sturd and cleans up easily. The mattress fits in very snug so there are no issues of pillows and stuff animals falling in the cracks. see less
