There are two choices in my mind, either buy a Blendtec or just buy a cheap blender. Only the blendtec has the wide pitcher with a 4 inch blade - -
Two oranges, a pear, handful of wallnuts, cup of dry oats, ginger root, some yogurt and a fistful of power greens like kale or chard. Stuff it in the blender. Put the lid on and hit the whole foods cycle and walk away. Maybe a follow up tap to the smoothie cycle - and you will come back to a silky smooth delicious power smoothie your five year old will like. - -
Buy this, and consider it an investment to offset the processed foods you eat the rest of the day.
Thanks to the fast and safe postage to my home, I was able to start on cooking up a storm in the Blentec immediately. I found it relatively quiet, considering some comments about the sound decibels...my neighbours have not complained yet when I am making up ice cream in the early hours! Sturdy, safe, easy to clean, it does everything, just like having another pair of hands in the kitchen! Buy it, you will not regret it!
I love, love, love my Blendtec! I got here quick and I appreciated the security of having to sign for it. It quickly makes juice from whole fruits and veggies (I do cut up larger food before blending). Blendtec fits perfect under my cabinets. I was also pleasantly surprised of how quiet it operates vs some opposing comments. I do not recall reading that it came with a cookbook, so that was another plus (as I am "Cooking Challenged"). My Blendtec was worth every dime!
