I used aluminum and enamel hand juicers for years--then I thought, why not an electric juicer? I've had this one for two months and it's wonderful. The parts go into the dishwasher and it works great. Doesn't always reverse but not a big deal for me. Mine was closer to [$$] bucks when I bought it and I think it will outlive the hand juicers--and no aluminum exposure. Buy it. Good deal.
I bought this juicer today and juice a entire bag of grape fruit. I don't care for having to put a bowl or small glass on the side to catch the juice but this in minor because otherwise this thing works great. The reverse feature is tricky but works and there was very little pulp left inside the peal when done and was very dry. Clean up doesn't get any easier! all three pieces come out and can be washed by hand or thrown in the dish washer. The cord hides a way for storage but I see I'll be using this thing all the time. The motor never even lugged down during my use which I really didn't know what to expect. So if your looking for a simple juicer, look no further, this one is the best [$] you'll spend.
