I bought this cute little set for my 4 year old niece for Christmas, because she is into Disney Princesses, she likes Duplo/Legos, and I couldn't let her play with my large displayed Star Wars Hoth battle scene("no no no don't touch your uncle's AT-AT please...okay, okay you can play with the Wampa...lol), so when I saw this set I thought it was perfect for a small gift, and she was very happy with it and I helped her put it together. On to the review:
You get two fairly large "Minifigs", including a really cute rabbit and Snow White. Snow White is fortunately in one piece, and I liked the fabric dress, as it added a nice touch. She looks very cute and Chiba-like(Chiba, i.e. exaggerated features, big head and eyes, Hello Kitty or Astro Boy Japanese anime type look).
You get a nice printed table and chairs(I hope that's not a bad apple!), a neat small "cottage" section with an opening window, fence piece, and a "tree" with a printed bird piece.
It's Duplo. I showed her how to build the cottage as shown on the box, then took it apart and she built it easily. Then she took it apart and started building at whim. She loved making towers out of the pieces. Very cool.
Not a bad price for all of the large pieces and figures you get, plus it's a licensed set. I thought it was worth every penny, and I am going to buy more for her.
In conclusion, if your niece/daughter/yourself likes Disney, how can you go wrong with giving them/yourself something to build and explore/display as well? Win-win in my book. I highly recommend it.
Last year I was very excited to learn that Legos would be coming out with a Disney Princess Duplo Collection and they did not disappoint. My daughter loves her Snow White and Sleeping Beauty sets. She sets them up and plays with them all the time. Cinderella's Castle and Carriage will be under the tree this year making the set complete. I can't wait to see her excitement. Awesome job Legos and looking forward to the Little Mermaid sets coming. They will definetly be added to my daughter's collection.
I bought all of the princess sets for my 2 year old granddaughter. We love them. We interchange all of the pieces together which gives more of a variety to build and use her imagination. I am an early childhood educator and full time grandmother. I believe Legos are by far the best "toy" product on the market.
We used this set to build a larger castle using most of the bricks my daughter had. It took about 5 hours all together and she was very very excited. Now she is playing with it every day! I don't know if I would dare to take it down...
Our 4 year old loves this set! The blocks are a great size for her hands. She loves to follow the directions included to build the castle as shown. But she also loves to build her own creations...like a tower with a diving board! It's wonderful to see her getting so creative!
My granddaughter enjoys playing with this toy. We played it together and she can play with it on her own. I enjoy watching her play independently in her imaginary world and the fact that she connects the pieces to create new senerios to enjoy on her own. This was a big hit in our home.
I'm very frustrated, my daughter missing a piece from the carriage( top of the carriage ) I try order, but don't show me the piece online, have all the piece from this collection but specifically this piece don't have, and don't have the instruction online.
Our 2 year old granddaughter loves Disney princesses and is just beginning to enjoy Legos. This Disney princess toy lets her play with both at the same time. She can also use the carriage along with her other Disney princess toys.
I certainly couldn't buy Cinderella's castle without the horse and carraige. This item completed the castle! It is adorable and me and my granddaughter have hours of fun with all of the princess sets. I love how they are all interchangeable so we can build so many different castles! It is so nice to have a toy I can actually enjoy with my grandchildren.
