My 10 year old got this, addition to her friends sets and she put it together herself. I like that it is 2 sets in one.... The rock stage swivels around to a ballerina stage... We didn't even realize that cute guitar too...
My six year old daughter received this set for Christmas. She put it together all by herself and was extremely proud of her efforts. She also loves the finished product and plays with it frequently. It has brought hours of enjoyment to our home.
I bought this set about one year ago but when I play with it feels as if I bought it just yesterday. Chimney design and the rotisserie is cool compared to the other creator houses. the tree was confusing to make so I make my own design every time I play. The canoe is good too since it goes with the set of how the person is out in the wild. the second house looks more modern since it shows the street lamp and the light inside the house. to make the second house more modern i added the bbq grill used in the family house. i also added two pair of lights in the house. the third house is good but it gives lots of grassy room near the tree so I added the basket ball court used in the apple tree house. nevertheless this is a really cool house.
This set is a great edition to any house collection/city/town for a Lego Enthusiast!
Minifigure! (First ever in Creator)
Overall a 9 1/2 of 10
Very awesome cabin! Buy some blue bricks/baseplates to expand the river! Also, buy some green baseplates to make more grass!
I really love this set! It has a quaint, little fireplace inside and has a river/stream attached to the side which works great if you have a LEGO lake.
~ Stream attached to the house
~ Removable roof
~ The back opens like a dollhouse
~ No baseplate, just LEGO's
Glove World is a very cool set. It comprises of the main ride, entrance/snack bar, and four minifigures. The two features of this set are the moveable handle on the back of the ride, and the rotating turnstile at the entrance. The minifigures are great! I especially love Sandy with her helmet. They all have nice printing like the ice cream on Patrick. My only con would be how there is only one ride. It is a good value for $20, but I would have gladly paid a little bit more for Lego to have included another ride or two. Anyways, this is a great set for Lego and Spongebob fans alike!
No city is complete without a trash truck, and this truck is the best of all the large trucks that fit into this category. It comes with two minifigs, and great accessories like a broom, shovel, trash can, and waste.
The trash cans can be dumped into the rear of the truck, and you can then empty the truck, although that action is sort of hampered by the hinged rear part of the truck.
My only gripe is that the entire bed of the truck falls off pretty easy. It's barely connected to the hinge.
I just love this set! I bought it for myself. It is just something different and unique that you don't always see with toys... a garbage truck! The set was easy to put together and fun to play with. I could see any little girl or little boy having fun with this set too. Great addition to Lego city. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Love that it included a woman and a man worker. I had the woman driving the truck and the man with the broom!
Great little set, fun to play with and needed in your collection.
Aside from artoo, all of the figures here are upgraded to give a look more accurate to the films. The sandtroopers now have the markings to show their dirty armor and I like how there pauldrons help differentiate the rank. C-3P0 has been given a great upgrade as well. The figures are must haves for original trilogy fans.
Unlike all the other attempts Lego have made in the past regarding escape pods, finally we get the definitive version of the escape pod. This set marks a major leap in design. It's larger than the ones in the past and is able to accompany a greater passenger load. This escape pod alone makes this set worth the purchase. I also enjoy the speeder bike as well
It's been 11 years since we gotten the last droid escape. You can some iconic figures and a fun escape pod. The price is very fair for what you get. Go ahead, buy it.
A wonderful set, with wonderful minifigures. The minifig assortment is accurate to the movie, and the new Sandtroopers are a must-have. C-3P0 has been successfully redesigned, he now features more detail, and back printing. R2-D2 is one of the fairly new versions, with an entirely silver-molded head and improved printing. Both Sandtroopers have leg and back printing, printed faces, and nicely made backpacks. The Sandtroopers have "dirt" printed on them to look more like the movie characters, something previous versions lacked. They both have shoulder pauldrons, one white and one orange, also with improved printing. The pod itself is sturdy and accurate. Although I don't like the stickers, they give it needed detail. The pod can fit both droids comfortably, and strongly resembles the movie version. It has pegs to keep the top from falling off. The speeder is a nice little accessory that adds significant play value to the set.
New, redesigned R2 and 3PO
Desert Speeder vehicle
Sturdy and accurate pod
This set is something that takes me back to the older sets, and stands out from modern sets due to it's great play/display value, wonderful minifigs, and a great scene not captured by lego in over 10 years (I think, if not somewhere around that), so go and get it now!
It's small but cute! Easy to put together, even with the stickers! My favorite part is the fact that the sandtroopers have PRINTED FACES! FINALLY!! Thank you LEGO!
Also a plus: both droids do fit in the pod, and quite comfortably too.
A perfect addition to my SW collection.
This model of the Burj Khalifa was easy to build. Looks great in the entertainment room near my computer. Excellent for those looking for something interesting to display in the home or office.
I'm a college graduate who grew up collecting/playing with Lego, and I saw this set in the clearance aisle of my local big box store. I usually go for Castle or LOTR sets these days, but this treehouse took me back to my childhood Belville days and I couldn't resist scooping it up (apparently I have 6-12 year old tastes). ;)
Things I love:
-The animals each have a "home"-- kitty has a bed, and the bird has a house. Just too cute, and satisfying somehow.
-New flower elements- way cooler than the ones I had as a kid!
-Unlike Belville, these are roughly the same size as the other Lego themes. I remember as a kid kinda resenting the implication that girls couldn't build small, detailed models-- the Belville sets included huge wall elements and oversized characters, and were generally unsatisfying builds that didn't mix well with my other Legos. I like what Lego has done with the Friends line. Some people say they're "too small"--I prefer them the same size as other themes.
-You can swap hair elements with traditional minifigs! It's a little thing, but I love the new hair elements and it's fun that you can use the styles you already have on the Friends as well (or put Friends hair on your Castle princess).
-Tons of fun details! The little milk carton is adorable, I love the telescope, and the flowers/ladybugs/butterflies are fun to decorate with.
-Good construction. Unlike the tree in the Medieval Market Village, this one doesn't constantly fall apart (don't get me wrong, I love my MMV).
Things I don't love:
-Lego's a bit more stingy with the minidolls than they are with traditional minifigs. The Friends sets in the $20-$35 price range come with only one or two figures, while other themes will have 3-4 figures in this range. The animals in this set kind of help make up for that, but still, I wanted more than one figure.
...so of course I had to buy more Friends sets.
In conclusion, I don't know that I would have bought this at full price, but on clearance it was a heck of a deal and I love it. I now have the urge to buy ALL the Friends sets. This could be bad. But it will definitely be fun!
This is a perfect first set. It has fun pieces, like cats, a ladder, and a bench. It's not well supported on the left of the tree house when you look at the front of it, so kind of be careful on that part. Though it has 191 pieces, I don't think twenty dollars was appropriate.More like fifteen dollars would be nice.
i picked this set up for my 5 year old daughter yesterday.she came back into the living room(we set up our spare bedroom to display and build our legos, the living room was getting crowded.)and said "look dad,done."..i was like "man, that was only a half hour.im gonna go broke if you keep building these this fast!"..its true because when shes done building a set,she starts talking about this other set she saw and wants now.she gets it from me i guess:)anyway,i didnt build it so ill let her review it...ok,this tree house is awesome!there are flowers all over the tree tops,a cat bed for Olivia's kitty, and a really cool birdhouse with a birdy! The ladder is cool,it lets Olivia climb up to her treehouse and play with her kitty and water her flowers.i like this lego the best because of all the flowers and pretty colors.it reminds me of summer.build me a tree house dad...ok parents,i think its all about the colors with these friends sets.my daughter loves these sets, she wont take any help on them and the cool thing is,she doesnt need any.im very proud of my little one.awesome.she has her eye on a few more friends sets but we still have a few chima and superhero sets to collect.she loves them though so those others might have to wait a little bit.thats cool too because i get to see her build these by herself.one cool thing,i told her that the "other" blok building company has barbie sets, she looked at me and said "they arent legos dad, they just arent the same..."..i think she got that from a Family guy episode..too funny.love that baby.:)
I got this set back in 2012, and it immediately caught my eye; all of the accessories and play features embedded into this model!
Nice figs, both pretty much the same and come with dirt bike helmets that can be interchanged with their normal hat. Nothing too special though.
I really like the design of this. The colour scheme has been chosen well, grey and red, and the stickers are worth the hassle. It really resembles a real 4X4 because of the chunky tyres, and the rugged styling of the vehicle including it's lights on top. There's also a trunk that opens up, and can just about squeeze the other minifig in there.
It hitches up to the car well, or you can have them separate. The storage units work well, although I find the oil can can't fit in, and has to be placed in the trunk of the car. You get the usual spanner, screwdriver etc which are nice. The dirt bikes themselves are very vibrant to the eye in those neon green and orange colours. They include number stickers, but you don't really need them. The minifigures can be put on the bikes easily. The other accessories on this trailer include two dirt bike helmets and some flags/checkpoints so you can 'race'.
Overall I would recommend this set to anyone really for the parts assortment or the playability, this set comes out trumps for me.
Thanks for reading!
I bought this set as one of my first LO TR set. This was when the theme started. It is a nice small set that gets you gandalf and shire Frodo. The clincher for me was the rearing horse and the book and fireworks.Overall this was a good buy and i am sad to see it go the way to retirement.
"A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to!" Ever since I watched that scene and heard that line, I was suprised that LEGO had made that scene into a set!
What's awesome in this set:
-You get Gandalf in a small set for a cheap price, and Frodo in his Shire clothing is exclusive to this set
-The snake firework is in the carriage, and that's awesome
I have only one thing I found in this eat that wasn't awesome:
-Seating in the carriage is too small to fit both Gandalf and Frodo like in the movie!
So basically, this is one of my favourite sets from LOTR! Every die-hard LOTR fan should get this set before it retires!
Even though this set is small, it is very cool, I like the new horse design and Gandalf and Frodo are very nicely done, the red snake is a very nice representation of the dragon firework, and I really liked all of the other accessories. So it is a very good set, and I would definitely recommend it to a friend, great job Lego.
I thought this LEGO set would be a lot bigger and harder to do for its price, but the educational value was good. It was an accurate replica of the Sears Tower and will be a good visual aide for a school project.
