The grate itself is great. Heavy, sturdy and quite large. The tripod is a thinner lighter material and falls apart if you try to move it. The chain that holds the grate up is heavy and sturdy as well but it does not fit down the hole at the top of the tripod. As such, you are forced to hang it down one of the sides and so the grate is always a little off center. Also, the only way to adjust the chain is by lifting it up by hand and inserting a pin through the chain and the hole in the top of the tripod. It is kind of a weird system and not easy to adjust while hot or with food on the grate. It does not come with a carrying case so we saved the box it came with and transport it in that.
This is a nice tripod but from all the pictures and information I thought the dutch oven came with it. It doesn't. So when it arrived I was disapointed and didn't have time to order the dutch oven in time for an outdoor party. So for this year no chilli around the campfire. Oh well, maybe next year.
