I read the reviews before purchasing which referenced bad instructions, shoddy materials, and poor craftsmanship. I just finished putting this together and while it did take a long time, I didn't have any more trouble with instructions, etc than I would expect from a piece of off-the-rack, assemble-yourself inexpensive furniture.
All together it took about 2.5 or 3 hours to assemble, but that was with a 15 month old "helping" me, and I'm 28 weeks pregnant, so I think it would typically take less. Everything lined up well and it seems solid enough for what it is.
I paid full price and would purchase it again. It's a decent color match to the Graco Lauren crib, although the crib is more red than this piece which is a much truer chocolate. As long as you don't have them directly side by side and/or in direct sunlight, it matches well enough.
I finally put it together... well almost. The screws that go in at the very end to hold the drawer to the metal railing are too small. Hot dogs down a hallway. I'm going to have to go to the hardware store to find the right size so they actually stay put and hold things in place. That being said, I do like the feel and look of it so far. I got the white version, and it seems like it is pretty sturdy and the parts that need to be solid are solid like the top, sides, etc. I didn't want to pay [$] for a real wood dresser when I know this is kids dresser and nothing fancy is needed right now.
I just need to get those screws. That's my only real gripe.
