if you get playdoh and find that some of it is harder to mold than others:1) knead for approximately 4 mins.2) make a mixture of 1 part veggie oil and 1 part water3) place playdoh back into container4) push the playdoh all of the way down into the conatainer5) make 3 little ravines in the playdoh with your fingers6) pour about 1 t. of the oil and water mix into the container with the play doh7) DO NOT mold the oil+ water in with the playdoh8) let sit for about 30 hours in a 65-80 degree climate9) after 30 or so hours it should be soft, squishy and ready to play withtrust me people-- this actually works. my sibling bought this playdoh the other day and wasnt satisfied with it's squishiness. i experimented with it and found that this was the best way to modify playdoh to your advantage. everyone always adds water to their playdoh if it dried out a bit, but the water just evaporates right back out of it. the oil stays in for longer periods of time, ensuring that the playdoh will remain squishier for longer. it is still good to add 14-16 drops of water about every three to five days because of the high salt content in the playdoh. see less

Bought this for my 4 year old grandson . We have done many of the cooking play doh sets together and found them fun, easy to work with, but not this one. The cheese grater is difficult to work, and the pizza comes out small and thick. All in all I wish I had bought the dentist play doh instead. see less

i highly recommend this product--we did or 3 week old daughter's handprint as a christmas ornament. the material is almost like a foam and it was much easier to do than the plaster kit that we recieved as a gift. the key is to knead the foam for a few minutes like dough before rolling it out and attempting the print. this will warm the material and make it easier to press you little one's hand into!! it hardens over the next few days. so glad we recieved this as a gift! see less

i was really excited about this product, but i ended up very disappointed. it may work for an older child who can press down hard enough to get a good print, but didn't work at all for getting our 6 week old infant's foot print. i'd go with ink or plaster. see less

This product exceeded my expectations. It was much larger than expected and was easy to use. My 6 year old was able to pour and mix and do the whole project. It came with an educational booklet and magnet strips. The mold is made so that we were able to make several skeletons with the purchase of additional plaster. That made this a good purchase for the money and I will buy from this company again. It is so nice to find a toy company that produces quality products instead of cheap plastic toys. see less

The model skeleton you ma ... see more

The model skeleton you make with this kit won't look exactly like the bits featured on the box. The hands, for instance, have the finger bones detailed in the casted piece but it is all in one piece. Still, all the bones are represented. The kit comes with two molds for all the major pieces of the skeleton and there is enough casting material to make at least two models so don' t mix it all up at once. The casting material mixes easily using only water but use a plastic cup or bowl that you don't mind throwing away when you're done.I expected that the bones would all fit together in some way but they don't. Instead you can either assemble the pieces onto a board and glue them in place or glue magnets (included) onto the back of the bones and assemble him on the refrigerator or other metal surface. We decided to go for the fridge skeleton but the magnets aren't very strong and Mr. Bones broke a leg when his femur fell to the floor.My 11 year old boy liked making the bones and painting and gluing but ultimately was discouraged by the weak magnets preventing the display of his handiwork. see less

The walls can be taken down and the doors can be opened to reveal intricate presses for the Play Dough both inside and outside. The base of the castle also contains different presses. My 3yr old daughter picked this out herself and she loves it! This is definitely a great, classic toy I will save to pass down to grandkids. You can make the skirts for 3 different princesses... Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Belle from Beauty and the Beast, plus a mold for a prince. On the bottom of each princess are molds to make her accessories, and Rapunzel is in the top of the tower and you put playdoh in to grow her hair... Super fun toy with staying power... she still plays with it weekly months later! see less

This product is great for "paper mache" projects. It is so easy to use. Just cut into strips, wet with warm water and lay onto the surface. It does not fall off when wet and can be shaped into anything. The only drawback is that the plaster dust makes a mess and makes your skin itch. see less

Sooooo disappointing! My son was so excited to play with this and all it was, was frustating. Nothing on the toy worked right. The sprinkles don't work they came out in strings...when you make ice cream it squirts out of the side and we didn't over fill it! Then to top it off you can't unassemble it for storage, or in my case putting back in the box to return it to the store. buyer beware! see less

Purchased this kit last Christmas for my son. When my husband and son began putting it together everything went well until they took the cast out. The pieces (which had been left to harden for well over a week) begin to crumble and fall apart. Also, the paint included in the kit is runny and doesn't coat well. Don't waste your money! see less

This product is complete junk. The wheel cannot spin if there is the slightest bit of pressure on the clay. Even trying to smooth the clay gently with your hands stops the wheel. We ended up shaping the clay with our hands without using the spinning wheel. Incredibly expensive for the plastic junk you get. see less
