My son received this as a Christmas gift in 2011 when he was 21-months old. He has played with it daily since then! The set folds up quickly and easily to be put away and taken back out again daily. My son gets very excited when his grandparents buy him a new train to add to the set. I also like that the set is made so that you can add additional tracks if you want to.
I checked a lot of stores and websites looking for this train for my grandson. Prices varied by as much as $65. Target has the lowest price [...] it was a deal I couldn't pass up. I am very happy with the train [...] I couldn't be happier.

very poor product and targets return policy is terrible
i think this toy is no where near worth what it cost it falls of the tracks all the time and is very flimsy and not made strong enough to last very long and targets return policy is terrible i got it as a gift for my sons birthday and since i didnt have a receipt i couldnt return it trust me i will not be a shopper here anylonger [...]
We received two of these for Christmas. Everyone in the family was fighting over who gets to play with it. It is easy for my son to play with. He is nearly two. And easy for dad, grandma and big sister to play with too! It works well on our carpets. No issues. I highly recommend this.
My 3 year old son was so excited to get the Steam and Speed Thomas. It is a must have for your little Thomas fan! It is easy for little hands to control and seems like a sturdy toy that will last a long time. The steam feature isn't my sons favorite feature he just loves to drive the train all over the house. I have been wanting to get my son a remote control train and this was great for him! The author of this review received a free sample of the product.
My son loves the Trackmaster trains, as do I :)
The only issue was that the train in the picture is not the one they shipped me. It was James, but the white switch wasn't on the engine, it was on the tender. The thing I don't like about it being on the tender is that the battery is held in the tender and therefore if you have a really curvy track you're playing on, he drives off because the steering isn't on the front.
