On the box there says "All heat sources except induction" when I received it but I gave it a shot anyway. I put in some water in each of them and turned it on. It works for all 4 of them, and I see bubbles more or less evenly across that is only limited by the size of the coil in the induction cooker (5 to 7" unless you have the large, mounted ones).
Later on I find out on the bottom of the pots and pans there says "induction stainless steel". Weird.
Can't say about the durability but given the 4-star in 24 reviews of a very similar copper bottom cook set, I expect it to be good. The two sets share the 5-qt dutch oven, 2-qt saucepan and the 8" frying pan.
Some measurements (approx):
8" frying pan: bottom is 5.5" across.
2-qt saucepan: 7" across (not including the rim), 3-5/8" tall (from the inside), with "Max 2,1 L 2,2 Qt Max" and markings 0,5/1,0/1,5 qt/L on the inside (no cups).
Large fryer: 10.25" across, 3" tall, no markings.
Dutch oven: 9.5" across, 4.75" tall, with "Max 5 L 5,5 Qt Max" and markings 1/1,5/2/.../5 L/5,5 qt.
Steamer: 9.25" open and 5.5" closed.
I bought these for my son and daughter-in-law because they needed something sturdy to learn to cook with. They love this set. My son says they are really easy to use, food doesn't stick and the sizes are great. They really like the copper bottoms and glass lids. As they are learning to cook, they needed something that can take some scrubbing and were leery of non-stick pans. These look and feel almost as nice as my much more expensive pans. I only gave 4 stars for durability, because we don't know yet how they will last in the long run. I got them on sale. and overall, they were a great deal and I would buy them again, as a gift or for myself.
Love this cooking set, looks nice, feels nice and cooks flawlessly. Only complaint would be how easy they scratch. Only had them for about a week and already one has a scratch which I have no idea how it got there. And I've been very careful with them. Disappointing but hoping not to find any more!
