I was so excited when I found this adorable pillow inspired by my favorite artist- Charley Harper. I went out to Target that day and bought it.
The instructions are disconnected and very undetailed. I constantly had to "make do" and improvise the steps. As an adult, I thought this pillow would be a cinch to make and I was considering buying it for several young family members. Now I know that it is too difficult.
I was also disappointed with the colors, the floss in the kit was very different colors than was shown in the pictures. My lion has black eyes and mouth and is lined in pink with a pink tail because those were the only colors left by the time I reached that point. His mane was very difficult to assemble and I basically just made it up as I went along, there were no punched holes. I am glad I did because I came very close to running out of that color floss.
Although this pillow is very cute, I suggest only buying it if you are a die-hard Harper fan with a lot of dedication.
The kit's needles are too small for the embroidery thread. I bought this to use as an all-in purchase and now my child is disappointed because we don't have any other needles. Two adults in my house tried to thread the needle several times unsuccessfully. Let alone a child, even with assistance.
I would NEVER pay full price for this item. Heck, the clearance price was too much! It belongs, at best in the dollar bin. I bought several of these for a get together to give the kids something to do and take home with them. We made one as a sample and were very disappointed!
I only gave it 1 star because I HAD to click a star. Not worth that!
My daughter received one of these for her birthday and was looking forward to making it. We put it together according to the instructions, during which time a junky plastic hook came off, and with seconds of assembling it, the base ripped off of the paper globe. Total trash--the kind of garbage that really irritates me because you know that the people selling it must be aware that it's worthless. So now I'm out [...] and have a disappointed kid on my hands.

The most disappointing item I have purchased from Target
I was excited about this new brand the colored pencils and the duct tape. We tried the light to go in our new fort. We purchased one yesterday and opened it this morning to find it broken the lightbulb ripped from the paper lantern. We returned it and exchanged for a new one. The hoop hooks were already off and would not stay on the metal piece. My children were dying to do this so despite my desire to return it and get my [$]back [...] I seriously doubt the light will last 10 minutes once we try to hang it. Huge disappointment.
